About the job

Are you a student pursuing a long social sciences higher education program, eager to work with analyses and evaluations of higher education, and do you find it exciting to contribute to tasks close to KP’s leadership? Then you can become our new student assistant in the Strategy and Quality team at Copenhagen Professions College (KP).

At KP we educate the teachers and educators of the future, nurses and social workers, as well as several other upcoming bachelor professionals. In the Management and Communications Secretariat, we support KP’s leadership and student political organization. You will be attached to the Secretariat’s Strategy and Quality team, where we conduct analyses and evaluations, coordinate the current reform of professional education, and drive strategic projects in collaboration with colleagues in the Secretariat and the rest of the organization.

As a student assistant you will have the opportunity to work with analysis and evaluation tasks from data collection and analysis to dissemination of results. Your work will form part of the decision basis for management, leadership, and external partners and contribute to the development of KP’s education programs.

About the job

As a student assistant you will work closely with consultants in the team and contribute to various types of tasks. For example:

  • Plan and carry out data collection, including setting up and distributing surveys and contributing to the conduct of interviews
  • Collect and process data from registries, data warehouses and survey studies for use in analyses and evaluations
  • Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Process interview material and contribute to qualitative analyses
  • Prepare figures, presentations and other communication products
  • Contribute to analyses and evaluations used by management, leadership and external partners

The coming period we will work on the following studies, in which you will be involved

  • Ongoing support for evaluations and analyses of students’ internships within the Strategic Partnership on Education
  • Follow-up on a larger analysis of student dropout at KP, including analyses of patterns and risk factors related to dropout
  • Strategic analysis of our students’ experiences of their internship, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Ongoing analysis and evaluation tasks that support KP’s strategic work

We are looking for someone who

  • Is actively studying a long social science program, e.g. political science, sociology, educational science, anthropology, public health science or similar, and has at least two years left of your studies
  • Has an interest in analysis and evaluation work and wants to translate method into practice
  • Has experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods through your studies
  • Wants to work with the entire analysis process from data collection to analysis and dissemination
  • Has a knack for data processing. Experience with Excel or similar tools is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Has experience with or a desire to work with surveys, preferably in SurveyXact
  • Can translate data and analyses into clear and concise messages

In addition, we value that you

  • Work in a thorough and systematic manner
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
  • Are curious and proactive and follow up with questions when something is unclear
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive in close cooperation with others
  • Thrives in and can maintain an overview in changing tasks of varying nature
  • Are interested in the field of education and would like to contribute to solving the tasks

We offer

At our place you can become part of a secretariat with many different professional backgrounds, high ceilings, and a strong sense of community. You will be assigned a fixed point of contact who helps balance the workload and ensures that you are introduced to the tasks and receive ongoing sparring. Professionally, you will gain experience with analysis and evaluation work in practice, focusing on developing higher education.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed as a student assistant with start as soon as possible. Working hours are about 15 hours per week and are determined with flexibility to fit your studies.

Your employment as a student assistant is governed by the Organisational Agreement for HK/State . It is a condition that you are study-active on a higher education program throughout the employment. The hourly wage depends on previous employment in the office sector.

The workplace is located at Humletorvet 3, 1799 Copenhagen V.
