Would you like to help create good food and great experiences for staff and guests in Svendborg Municipality? We are seeking a committed canteen assistant for the City Hall Canteen in Svendborg, where we place emphasis every day on healthy, varied and tasty food in cozy surroundings – with a particular focus on climate-friendly dishes and organic ingredients.

Your duties will include

• Preparation and plating of lunch based on climate-friendly cooking and organic products.
• Service in the canteen, including replenishment, serving and cash handling.
• Cleaning and dishwashing in connection with daily operations.
• Contributing to a good working environment and a positive service experience.

We expect that you

• Are trained as a chef, caterer or similar.
• Have experience with the operation of municipal canteens.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
• Are service-minded and approachable towards both colleagues and guests.
• Thrive in a busy environment and can maintain an overview.
• Are stable and flexible and enjoy that there can occasionally be work outside normal hours, for example at municipal council meetings and other events.

About us

The canteens in Svendborg Municipality are anchored under Environment and Technology, Center for Properties and Technical Service, Property Service. We operate three canteens located at three different addresses, where you will primarily be attached to the City Hall Canteen.

In total, we are a canteen manager and 12 engaged employees. We place emphasis on good cooperation, high professional standards and a positive atmosphere in everyday life.

Salary and employment

We offer a permanent position of 37 hours per week with start date December 1, 2026.

Wages and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges from 32,933 to 39,956 DKK per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special payments. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and is negotiated with the relevant trade union.
