About the job

Are you passionate about making a difference for people with challenges in disability and psychiatry, where the citizen is at the helm?

Would you like to be part of an ambitious department where professional expertise and financial management work together in everyday life?

We are currently seeking a social worker/social mediator who can work in our Disability and Psychiatry team.

About the job

We offer an exciting workplace with colleagues who take responsibility for both professional quality and the social environment, and who value good humor and a positive approach to everyday challenges.

The role as an authority caseworker will cover, among other things, advice and guidance, admission to services under the Social Services Act, and follow-up thereafter. We primarily work with adult sections of the Social Services Act, particularly §§ 108/107, 103/104, 85 and 96.

You will become part of the Psychiatry and Disability Team, where your primary area of work will be the disability field. The position involves close collaboration with external services and partners. As we work forward-leaning, parts of your task portfolio will also be tied to our internal services, where you contribute to a holistic and citizen-centered approach.

We use the adult assessment method (VUM 2.0) and use the professional system Nexus.

About you

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is educated as a social worker or social mediator.
  • Ideally has experience in the specialized adult field, where you ensure citizen involvement and dare to put the citizen in the driving seat.
  • Has experience with authority-based case processing.
  • Has experience with the Adult Assessment Method (VUM 2.0)
  • Has strong professional competence with impact
  • Has experience in setting clear goals for interventions in collaboration with citizens
  • Is able to build strong collaborative relationships with citizens, internal and external partners
  • Is used to involving finances as a natural part of case processing.

We expect that

  • You are a responsible and service-oriented person who can collaborate at all levels.
  • You can work independently and thrive with broad contact to citizens, colleagues and partners in a busy daily life.
  • You have good relational and communicative abilities.
  • You are a team player with a positive mindset.

About us

We offer

An exciting workplace with dedicated colleagues who take responsibility for both professional quality and a good working environment. We value teamwork, good humor and a positive approach to everyday tasks and challenges.

In the Social Department we work with citizens with physical and mental functional impairments as well as socially vulnerable citizens. The department consists of 30 employees spread across several teams. You will become part of the Psychiatry and Disability Team, which consists of 11 employees plus professional coordinators.

We are located at Svinget 14 and emphasize a culture characterized by professional sparring, shared responsibility and helpfulness. You will receive your own case load and will be assigned a mentor who ensures a good introduction to the tasks, the workplace and our professional approach.

About the position

We are looking for a colleague with an interest in working with citizens with significant physical and mental functional impairments. The target group includes both citizens who have been granted housing and citizens who receive support in their own home.

A central part of the task is to create and maintain the cooperation frameworks that support the citizen’s well-being and development. You will coordinate and collaborate with the citizen, housing providers, social counselors and other relevant actors, including the Job Center and voluntary services, with the aim of developing holistic and meaningful plans based on the citizen's wishes and needs.

We place great emphasis on professional development and use our weekly team meetings for reflection, sparring and further development of practice. Our work is based on a recovery-oriented approach, where the citizen's perspective and resources are the focus of the effort.

We can feel and see that we make a difference for the individual and for society, and it creates pride and motivation. We insist on high professionalism, even when we are busy. With us you will work in a strong interdisciplinary community that grows from all of us contributing our specialized expertise. You are not alone.

In dialogue and collaboration, we help each other find good and proper solutions. Also on difficult days we look after each other and insist on a good working environment.
