About the job

Would you like to work at the intersection of health, technology and people and help drive international projects that improve everyday life for citizens, patients and health professionals?

About the position You will become part of the User-Centered Innovation unit, where we are currently contributing to several larger European Joint Actions. Specifically, this means that you will, for example, have to:

  • Coordinate work packages where partners from different countries must deliver by shared deadlines.
  • Be responsible for evaluation and reporting.
  • Facilitate workshops with hospitals, researchers and patient organizations to identify real needs.
  • Ensure common understanding and coherence in the collaboration between project partners across countries and sectors.
  • Translate complex EU requirements into practical project plans that actually work.
  • Communicate results to professionals, policymakers and civil society.

As a project manager you have overall responsibility for finance, deliverables and stakeholder relations, and you make strategic decisions in complex situations.

Who we are looking for We are looking for a colleague with experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in international contexts or in healthcare. You should have strong written and oral communication skills in both Danish and English, as you will need to write EU reports and present at conferences.

You know that innovation starts with users. This means you do not assume you know what a nurse in Spain or a patient in Denmark needs; you ask them. You are curious, empathetic and patient enough to identify users' needs. You thrive with complexity, keep an overview and find solutions when plans change, the budget needs revision or EU reporting requirements shift. You are good at building relationships and collaborating across disciplines and cultures. You are able to build trust and drive projects forward, even when stakeholders have different perspectives and priorities.

You probably have several years of experience leading complex projects, have worked with EU funding or similar and can document delivered results in a project context.

We offer Syddansk Sundhedsinnovation is Region of Southern Denmark's innovation office. We are about 75 employees in Forskerparken in Odense with diverse professional backgrounds. We work with health innovation from idea to implementation in close collaboration with hospitals, municipalities, companies, research institutions and civil society.

With us you get a multidisciplinary work environment with opportunities for both deepening and sparring. We value collaboration, knowledge sharing and an informal tone. You will receive a thorough introduction to tasks and the organization and good opportunities for both professional and personal development. Expect 1-3 annual trips to cities in Europe.
