Nurse or Social- and Healthcare Assistant for the Open Ward 174, Psychiatric Center Glostrup.

We are looking for a nurse or social and health care assistant for our well-functioning open ward 174, who is passionate about psychiatry and wants to work in an open ward where collaboration, development and well-being are in focus.

Ward 174 is an open psychiatric ward with room for 20 patients. We admit people with different mental disorders. Our patients are admitted to an open ward and need treatment, care and support during hospitalization. The length of stay is individual, but discharge is planned when the individual is in a condition where other professionals or outpatient units can take over the treatment.

You will work from a Recovery-oriented approach with milieu-therapeutic and cognitive methods. We strive to create the best framework for both patients and staff. With us, patient involvement, kindness, curiosity, professionalism and collaboration are keywords.

Staff group on the ward is engaged and with a broad mix of experience, age and background. We value professional sparring, development, good laughs and a meaningful everyday life.

We have a strong focus on a good working environment. We systematically use well-being measurements in relation to safeguarding good conditions for the ward staff. Recently we have focused on measures to improve nursing staff’s opportunities for immersion and concentration by reducing interruptions at work.

Your tasks will include

• Contact person function for several patients
• Execution of interventions related to individual patient and treatment plans
• Medication dosing – and administration (Social- and health care assistant with medication competence)
• Collaboration with colleagues and interdisciplinary staff about the individual’s treatment course
• Collaboration with patients’ relatives and networks
• Collaboration with outpatient and cross-sector actors to support coherence in patients’ pathways
• Responsible function for nurses on occasion (when you are ready for it)
• Participation in practical tasks related to the daily operation of the ward

• You are a nurse or social- and health care assistant with Danish authorization and have an interest in psychiatric nursing

• You are professionally well-founded and motivated to develop the professional quality of nursing

Salary and employment terms

The position is full-time. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Depending on education you will be employed according to the agreement for;

• non-managerial staff in the health sector with salary placement as a nurse
• social- and health personnel included in an agreement between RLTN and FOA with salary placement as social- and health care assistant

The ward is staffed around the clock and you will be scheduled with a mix of shifts in accordance with the rules of the current working time agreement. We aim to schedule staff in 2 different shift blocks with fixed weekend shifts.

Ward 174 is located at Nordstjernevej 41, 2600 Glostrup and is part of the Psychiatric Centre Glostrup, Amager- and Hvidovre Hospital.
