About the job

Are you motivated by creating structure, coherence and high professional quality in complex citizen journeys?

Then you may be our new nurse at Birkevang Care Home.

We are seeking a nurse with a start date of December 1, 2026 – preferably earlier – who will take the clinical and coordinating responsibility for our two sheltered units, Hyggebo – 15 homes and Birkely – 8 homes.

You will have your fixed base in the sheltered units, where you will become a central key person in daily operations and in the development of the nursing care initiatives. You will work closely with the nurse in the somatic units and participate in an engaged multidisciplinary collaboration with the physiotherapist, occupational therapist and the care home’s regular general practitioner. The position is organizationally located in NV5 with natural collaboration with NV6, ensuring coherence and high professional quality across Birkevang.

About the position

With us you will get a position with a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to influence the nursing professional development.

You will, among other things

  • plan and coordinate the nursing professional operations in the sheltered units
  • be clinically present in daily life and build in-depth knowledge of the residents
  • have a fixed nurse as a substitute during holidays and absences
  • participate in tasks in our newly established nursing clinic for illness and holidays
  • engage in close collaboration with the care home’s fixed general practitioner, who is present once a month
  • work weekends every 3 weeks.

Your primary responsibilities are to

  • conduct clinical assessments and systematic follow-up of residents with dementia
  • coordinate and ensure coherent resident pathways in collaboration with relatives, general practitioners, hospitals and other partners
  • document and quality-assure treatment and care
  • contribute to competence development and professional sparring with social and healthcare staff
  • contribute to the development of frameworks, content and operations in the nursing interventions at the care home
  • support everyday life and professional practice that take the resident's needs, resources and quality of life as their starting point.

We offer

  • a position with great professional responsibility and a high degree of autonomy
  • opportunity to influence the nursing professional development
  • a strong multidisciplinary collaboration with nurses, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social and health staff and the care home’s fixed general practitioner
  • freedom with responsibility
  • flexibility in daily life
  • a workplace focused on high professionalism, collaboration and development
  • a everyday where your effort makes a noticeable difference for some of our most vulnerable residents.

We are looking for you if you

  • are a licensed nurse
  • have clinical experience – preferably from the elderly or dementia field
  • work in a structured and autonomous way and can maintain an overview in an unpredictable daily life
  • are keen to develop and elevate nursing practice together with colleagues
  • communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally with a view to residents, relatives and colleagues
  • have a strong resident focus and value multidisciplinary collaboration.
