Nurse for COPD and lung infection clinic, AUH

Do you want to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable patients? Are you our new colleague in the COPD and Lung Infection Clinic?

We are seeking a nurse to be part of our multidisciplinary team. We work with the most fragile and vulnerable lung disease patients. Our efforts cover consultations at AUH, home visits to patients, telemedicine (tele-COPD) and cross-sector collaboration with Aarhus Municipality's Emergency Team.

The introductory program and its duration will be based on your experience and wishes.

The position is from December 1, 2026, or by agreement and on 37 hours/week (08:00–15:30). Work is expected every 6th weekend (day shift, 8.25 hours) in the inpatient ward for Lung Diseases.

The COPD and Lung Infection Clinic consists of a team of four nurses, including a COPD specialty nurse, covering the functions

• outpatient track: screens, among others, newly referred COPD patients for diagnostic clarification, optimization of treatment, follow-up of COPD patients after hospitalization, COPD patients for assessment and control of ventilatory support, treatment for Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, monitoring of home oxygen therapy, monitoring after lung infection
• advising general practitioners and practice nurses
• education of colleagues and partners
• outgoing Lung Team (physically located together with the Emergency Team, Hvidkildevej, Risskov, Aarhus Municipality): a cross-sectoral offer for the most severely affected COPD patients, home visits for checks in their own homes, and staffing of the daytime emergency phone line
• home visits for patients on oxygen therapy
• tele-COPD (located at AUH): Cross-sector collaboration on monitoring Tele-COPD citizens with a view to increasing knowledge of their disease and early intervention for exacerbations.

As a nurse with us, you will, after training, handle tasks in the Outgoing Lung Team, Tele-COPD, follow-up on oxygen therapy, as well as tasks in the COPD Clinic, so that everyone has the competencies to cover for each other. How the daily tasks are allocated will be agreed in the team.

We are looking for a nurse who has knowledge and competencies within medical nursing care and has a particular interest in respiratory medicine and patients with COPD. We will acknowledge the patient and put their needs in focus. Together with the patient and relatives, we will find the best possible solutions.

In the COPD and Infection Clinic we have a very good collaboration with our doctors, inpatient wards and physiotherapists. We place high value on professional sparring and education.

A driving license is a prerequisite for employment.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The appointment is conditional on a satisfactory child-care check and satisfactory authorization. A driving license is necessary.
