About the job

In Ward O1 and in the outpatient function, we take care with the nursing, observation, training and treatment that the patients need. With the help of close interprofessional collaboration consisting of occupational and physiotherapists, social and health care assistants, nurses, doctors and secretaries, all tasks around the patients and their relatives are coordinated. The aim is to create safe and secure patient pathways – and we do it with both professional pride and a smile.

If you would like to be part of this, please send an application! We welcome you warmly.

Who are we?

The Ward functions among other things as the FLOOR CENTER , where all patients over 65 with hip-proximal fractures are received around the clock. We handle both the pre- and postoperative pathways with all that this entails. This also applies to the planned patient pathways, which we manage on all weekdays. The people we meet here come for planned surgeries, e.g. artificial knee, hip and shoulder.

In addition, we also handle treatment of patients in very short courses, where patients are operated on and discharged on the same day, and we also have a strong focus here on ensuring an efficient and safe patient pathway.

Interdisciplinary collaboration and development

We work in interdisciplinary teams around the patients; nurses, social and health care assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. It is also possible in the longer term to combine work with patients with roles in both the ward and the outpatient clinic.

Safe and thorough onboarding

We know how important good onboarding is, so we prioritize it through close sparring with experienced colleagues who are ready to guide you both professionally and personally, so you feel secure in the work. The clinical nurse specialist has the overall responsibility for your onboarding, where we work from a competence card. We place great emphasis on the fact that the work community is based on care, respect, challenges, development, humor, professional and human sparring, skilled partners, competent colleagues and an appreciative management.

We develop together

The health care system is in constant development, and that means that we often change structures, workflows and treatment methods. Therefore we strive to maintain an open and curious culture, where we continuously discuss what works and how we can become even better. You will become part of an environment where all voices count – even when it is difficult, as we believe that both job satisfaction and professional development flourish best when we build on each other’s ideas and experiences.

At OUH, excellent nursing is performed based on three equal prerequisites: Care, professionalism and responsibility. Read more here: Strategy for nursing

For us, the work environment is a prerequisite for you as a nurse to be able to provide excellent nursing, and thereby succeed in giving the patient the best possible course.

Working hours

We take care of the patients around the clock, and offer you as a starting point a 37-hour position in combination of day/night shifts or day/evening shifts as well as every 3rd weekend on average.

What do we expect from you?

That you are a nurse.

That you are caring.

That you are considerate.

That you are responsible.

That you participate in maintaining the good working environment we have.

That you wish to help develop nursing for the benefit and gain of the patients.

That you are curious and have the courage to learn a lot.
