About the job

Are you passionate about complex nursing, professional development, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration? Do you want to make a difference for patients with both acute and chronic illnesses, and help develop the future orthogeriatric patient pathways? Then you may be our new colleague!

With us you will be part of a versatile medical ward where professionalism, collaboration and development go hand in hand.

Three exciting patient areas – one common department

In the Gastroenterology and Geriatrics ward we work with care and treatment of patients with complex medical issues within the gastroenterology and geriatric specialties.

As a new development, we have also taken in orthogeriatric patients with hip fracture , who after surgery require specialized nursing and medical treatment. This means that you with us will have the opportunity to work with:

  • Gastroenterological nursing: Patients with diseases in the stomach and intestine system.
  • Geriatric nursing: Elderly patients with multi-morbidity, frailty and complex care needs, where holistic nursing is central.
  • Orthogeriatric nursing: Patients with hip fractures, where we work purposefully with postoperative observation, pain management, early mobilization, nutrition, prevention of complications and smooth transitions from hospital to home.

What is common for our patients is that nursing observations, clinical decision-making and interprofessional collaboration make a real difference.

Our broad patient population gives you a varied everyday life with good opportunities to develop your clinical competencies. Two days are rarely the same!

What do we offer?

  • A dynamic and exciting work environment with a high degree of interprofessional collaboration.
  • Opportunity to develop strong nursing competencies within three patient areas.
  • Focus on professional development through simulation training, teaching and skills development.

  • A team-oriented workplace where we help each other and share responsibility for the patients.
  • An evolving department where there is room for professional ideas, initiative and influence.

We are ready to welcome you

We know that a good start has a great impact on both wellbeing and professional development.
