About the job

Would you like to be part of a department where nursing, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration go hand in hand? Are you motivated by closely following patients' development and contributing to people with acquired brain injury regaining function, independence and quality of life?

Then we may have the right position for you.

We are looking for a nurse, preferably with experience in neurology or rehabilitation, but most importantly with interest in the field, for a 3-month temporary position with start on 15 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Who are we?

Neurological Rehabilitation is part of the Neurology Department at Aarhus University Hospital and consists of 10 beds. Here we primarily receive patients with acquired brain injury after stroke.

With us you will become part of an engaged multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, social and health assistants, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. We work from a shared understanding that the best results are achieved together with the patient and across professions.

Training and development are a natural part of the patient's everyday life and are integrated into the nursing we deliver around the clock.

The nursing

As a nurse you will meet patients with many different needs and trajectories. Some are with us for a short time, while others have longer rehabilitation courses with complex issues.

You will among other things

  • plan and carry out nursing and treatment in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • support the patient’s rehabilitation and work purposefully with the patient’s own goals
  • follow the patient’s development and continuously adapt the effort
  • collaborate with relatives, municipalities and other partners about the further course
  • contribute to cohesive patient pathways and good transitions between sectors.

We imagine that you

  • have experience with neurological rehabilitation or an interest in the area
  • thrive in close multidisciplinary collaboration
  • see opportunities rather than limitations and meet patients and colleagues with engagement
  • wish to develop your professional skills and contribute to the joint development of the department
  • value a working environment where we help each other and succeed together.

Therefore you should choose us

With us you get

  • an introduction to the department tailored to your experience
  • opportunity for shadow days with occupational and physiotherapists
  • engaged colleagues with high professionalism and a strong desire to collaborate
  • a workplace with focus on learning, development and shared reflection
  • opportunity to work with both acute nursing, rehabilitation and complex patient pathways.

The position includes weekend work every 2nd or 3rd weekend in varying shifts.

We are proud of our strong community and our culture, where it is natural to help each other. We believe that well-being and professional quality go hand in hand, and we work every day to create both.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal records check and a satisfactory authorization.

The position is, as a rule, a full-time position.

As Region Midtjylland continually carries out savings and reorganizations, employees in redeployment who apply for the position will have priority.

Region Midtjylland is, in accordance with the EU's transparency directive, which took effect 7 June 2026, obliged to inform you of starting salary or a salary interval for a position before you are offered employment.
