About the job

We are a strong nursing professional community, where treatment and excellent nursing care are at the center

We are looking for 2-3 new colleagues, as one of our skilled nurses is retiring after a well-deserved pension, and another has taken on new exciting tasks in the department.

Are you motivated by work that emphasizes nursing professionalism, advanced technology, and meaningful relationships with patients? Where there is room for both professional depth, development, humor and a very special collegial community.

So perhaps it is you we are looking for in the Hemodialysis unit at Kolding Hospital!

With us you will become part of a dedicated team where we help each other, share knowledge and together create good patient pathways.

A specialty where technology and care go hand in hand

Hemodialysis is a highly specialized field where clinical competencies and advanced technology meet. The treatment replaces a life-sustaining organ function, and our patients with chronic kidney disease come several times a week for many years. This provides opportunities for close, trusting relationships where continuity, presence and individualized nursing care are essential.

With us, technical and professional expertise go hand in hand with human care. We put the Patient first with a focus on shared decision-making, palliation and the patients' own resources.

We take care of our patients – and of each other

We believe that high professional standards and a good working environment go hand in hand. Therefore we value integrity, respect, humor, and a strong collegial community.

We see our diverse competencies as a strength and prioritize knowledge sharing, reflection and professional sparring. With us you are never alone.

We continually develop our department through employee involvement, professional development groups, board meetings and the Southern Danish Improvement Model.

You don’t need to know dialysis – we’ll teach you!

Hemodialysis requires specialized knowledge. Therefore we offer a thorough and individually tailored introduction, where for the first two months you are outside of standard staffing norms and attached to fixed mentors.

We offer you

  • A strong professional and social community with helpful, experienced colleagues.
  • Daily sparring, reflection and professional deepening.
  • Competence development in nephrology nursing, medical-technical equipment and complex patient pathways.
  • Opportunity to influence the department's development through professional development groups and improvement work.
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration and a learning environment where we also educate nursing students.
  • An workplace with room for humor, engagement and diversity.

Who are you?

Are you an experienced or newly graduated nurse with a desire for new professional challenges? With us, your curiosity, your engagement and your willingness to learn are more important than prior dialysis experience.

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained nurse with Danish authorization.
  • Have an interest in chronic kidney patients and long-term patient relationships.
  • Are curious about technology and medical-technical equipment.
  • Thrive with professional independence and close collegial collaboration.
  • Are engaged, reflective and eager to develop nursing.
  • Maintain calm and overview in unpredictable situations.
  • Contribute to the community with responsibility, good humor and commitment.

Experience with nephrology or dialysis is not a requirement – the most important is that you are eager to learn.

What does your workday look like?

We are open
