At ESIS – the IT collaboration of the vocational schools – we are currently seeking a skilled and service-oriented system consultant who can navigate the intersection of education, technology and people.

Your primary responsibilities will be operation and implementation of systems that are in use at the member schools, in collaboration with both suppliers and the schools.

ESIS - your new workplace

ESIS is an IT collaboration between 16 self-governing institutions offering youth and adult education. The total user base comprises around 35,000 students and 7,000 employees.

The schools are self-governing and diverse, technically as well as organizationally, and place high demands on differentiated handling of operations. Our environment has many moving parts, and our task is to ensure that the components function harmoniously, both individually and together.

You will be part of a dynamic IT team of 10 people and will participate in the daily operations and development in ESIS. We focus on quality in operations and engage in developing projects that help address the organizations’ changing needs.

In order to succeed, it is crucial that we manage to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

ESIS-team is responsible for supporting the schools’ IT departments, servers, security, a number of platforms and infrastructure. The tasks cover design, development, testing, documentation, installation and operation:

  • Operation and support of infrastructure in a Microsoft environment
  • Operation and support of administrative platforms
  • Data center, storage and backup
  • Network based on Cisco equipment
  • Technical sparring in the team and IT employees at the member institutions

The position offers opportunities for an ambitious and technically strong system consultant with a strong personal drive who values delivering results.

We emphasise that you can check off a number of the following

  • Be certified in Microsoft- or Cisco technologies
  • Have experience with databases e.g. SQL
  • Have experience with operation and support of business applications
  • Have experience with data centers, virtual servers and Active Directory
  • Have insight into Linux, Nextcloud or other similar technologies
  • Have a business-minded and customer-oriented approach to task solving and work in a structured way
  • Prioritize testing and documentation
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the tasks you undertake
  • Have good communication and collaboration skills
  • Have relevant education that matches the stated requirements

As our new ESIS system consultant you will get

  • Professionally skilled colleagues
  • An exciting and meaningful job with great importance for many teachers and students
  • Responsibility, influence and meaningful tasks
  • Personal and professional development – including courses, orientation and knowledge sharing
  • Experienced and sparring-ready colleagues who also prioritize having fun together
  • Space in a culture characterized by collaboration, creativity and learning

The formal

The position is full-time with employment, salary and pension in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union.

Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

The workplace is initially Landbrugsvej 65, Odense S, but since the collaborating schools are located across the country, there will be periods where you work from these locations.
