About the job

Are you the group leader who, together with another group leader and the nursing home manager, can say yes to leading the way to create coherence and person-centered care for the citizens? Are you responsive to relatives and passionate about developing employees' competences? Do you want to help ensure a good environment to live, to reside and to work in?

If you can answer yes to the above, then we are ready with the world's best leadership job, where freedom with responsibility and common sense help to put the citizen at the center. And where person-centered care leadership sets the framework for you as a leader.

In these months we are prioritizing implementing the new Elderly Act at the Nursing Home. This task is led by the group leaders, together with the super users in Nexus.

We work together across the Municipality with other nursing homes, home care and the nursing service in Multidisciplinary Teams.

The core task and the framework for task execution for you as a leader will mean that you

  • are the guarantor that the citizen's needs and dreams are at the center of daily work, and that there is communication with them and their relatives, where relatives are seen as a resource
  • are a visible and present leader, who is passionate about supporting and creating well-being among employees in daily work with person-centered care, by continually ensuring skill development so that employees feel competent to solve the core task
  • lead by example with energy, enthusiasm, show direction and be accessible to citizens, employees and relatives
  • are persistent and ensure professional quality in the tasks, and able to initiate initiatives and generate ideas when things need to change
  • are good at structure and planning, can take co-responsibility for economic management and operation of the nursing home, so that resources are used as efficiently as possible for the benefit of the citizens
  • are positive, curious and full of ideas, dare to challenge others for the benefit of the citizen's center, and are prepared to change something that does not make sense
  • have good collaboration skills, self-insight and the leader all employees want to work for. You know what happy employees mean for the result.

We expect that you

  • have a health professional education, preferably with leadership experience
  • have a positive outlook on life, where others want to follow you
  • are quick to laugh, smile and have a contagious mood
  • can practice appreciative leadership
  • can strengthen a professional and engaged work environment, where high well-being is a given
  • see the whole person, with the differences their lived life has given
  • can succeed as a leader by living up to the vision of self-esteem and coherence in all you say and do, by understanding, creating meaning and making it possible for the citizens
  • can be relationship-building with an appreciative, listening and inclusive approach towards citizens, relatives and employees
  • prioritize collaboration with citizens, relatives and volunteers
  • ensure collaboration with other professionals around the good citizen paths
  • by nature always be curious and proactive regarding new knowledge and opportunities within own field of work
  • can delegate tasks and involve the employee group.
  • exhibit authority and meet deadlines and timelines to solve tasks and problems
  • show decisive action, so there is no gap between words and actions
  • can make decisions and work focused to achieve agreed goals, budgets and results
  • be inclusive and authentic, and fulfill the leadership role by stepping into character, being credible and setting the frame
  • have a flair for IT
  • can roll up your sleeves, give a hand in care
  • participate in the evening shift a couple of times a month
  • together with the other group leader, have the responsibility for the duty roster.

We offer

  • engaged and open employees who are very willing to look at our citizens in an alternative way
  • employees who put the citizen at the center
  • employees who give space to each other and place a high value on a good working environment
  • employees who work to improve documentation

From the nursing home manager you can expect feedback, close follow-up on your leadership tasks, support and help with the difficult tasks, and freedom under responsibility to create the best framework for well-being for both citizens and employees.

You are welcome to stop by and see Lindevang. Just call Marianne Giebner (holiday week 44 and 45) or Jeanette Hansen and arrange a time.
