About the job

Team Leader for IT, information security and GDPR in Hørsholm Municipality

We are seeking an IT-technical team leader for our team for IT, information security and GDPR.

We are seeking an IT-technical team leader for our team for IT, information security and GDPR.

As a team leader you will manage the personnel responsibility for the team’s five employees: two GDPR consultants, two information security coordinators and an IT project manager/ESDH system owner as well as an external DPO. It is not essential that you have management experience, but you must have the ability to create trust-based collaborative relationships.

The employees are self-driven and characterized by a high level of professionalism. You do not need to be a specialist in all of the team’s areas, but you must create the framework for professional sparring, prioritization and coordination as well as ensure a clear framework for the team’s combined tasks.

The task

The operation of our server and network as well as our support will move to IT Supply from December 1st, and for our new team leader there is a major task in being project manager and ongoing contact point to IT Supply, which, especially in the first year, will weigh heavily. Also going forward there will be a task at the interface to IT Supply, and the ongoing contact and coordination that it requires.

As team leader you will often be a bridge-builder, and with a good system overview and understanding of IT architecture you can lead processes on behalf of Hørsholm Municipality and handle contact with IT Supply and other suppliers. You possess good organizational understanding and have an eye for stakeholders' terms and needs in the municipality’s various centers.

Together with your employees you will actively contribute to solving the team’s tasks, which in the coming year will include both the implementation of NIS2 and a continued focus on the GDPR task, including anchoring in the organization. It is thus a prerequisite that you can work into this type of complex tasks and can make both technical and legal aspects understandable for the recipient.

As team leader you are a “playing coach” and actively participate in daily task solving, including for example technical IT security input for risk assessment, management of criticality assessment, ensuring in the future that the municipality’s security investments are coherent and aligned with the risk, be an active part of the municipality’s IT preparedness, evaluation of security breaches regarding GDPR and significant incidents regarding NIS2 as well as being responsible for various systems.

You also contribute with a view for cross-cutting contexts and external and upward contacts in the organization. You manage to drive processes forward through trust-based collaborations and build the ownership in the organization that results in successful implementation.

Among other things, you will have active cross-functional collaboration with the municipality’s digitization consultants, which may include technical sparring, advice or coordination of IT procurements as well as responsibility for portfolio management, contribute to screening, change, phasing out etc. Here you will need your technical knowledge, your strong eye for IT architecture and good collaboration with IT Supply.

As a person you are good at forming relationships and naturally engage in sparring with employees and stakeholders, where you are able to give space to different perspectives and support where needed. You possess a good driver, but at the same time have patience to stick with and complete even long processes.

About you

You have a solid IT professional background and experience from several of the areas GDPR/ISO 2700X, risk assessment, information security IT project management and supplier management.

With your strong technical IT background you have an understanding of IT infrastructure, architecture, security and system landscapes. You can create an overview of complex technical solutions and translate them into clear recommendations and decisions.

It is not a requirement that you have management experience, but you must have an interest in developing into a management role.

We expect that you

  • Can actively contribute to the team’s tasks and especially drive IT projects, system upgrades, supplier collaboration and cross-cutting IT-related efforts. You must also have sufficient understanding of GDPR and information security to support and lead work across the team’s specializations
  • Can act as a bridge-builder and ensure development of the forward-looking collaboration with IT Supply
  • Can drive cross-functional task communities in cooperation with the municipality’s digitization consultants focusing on the development of AI and other digital solutions
  • Have a relevant education in IT, information security or digitization, preferably supplemented with continuing education in project management or leadership as well as relevant certifications e.g. Microsoft Credential, ITIL, CISSP, or ISO 2700X.
  • Have good system understanding and quickly be able to form an overview of IT architecture
  • Have experience with and understand the complexity of the GDPR and information security task
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and can handle a broad task portfolio
  • Work structured, independently and with engagement
  • Communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and orally and can translate technical issues into an understandable form for both management and other stakeholders.
  • Find it interesting to work in a politically led organization
