About the job

Do you want to influence professional development and wellbeing, and are you passionate about visible leadership, professional sparring and a good working environment? Do you want to help ensure high quality in the work for young people and adults with mental, social and cognitive challenges?

Then you might be the one we are looking for as team leader for Team Residential Care, Support and STU (TBS).

As team leader you will have the responsibility for daily operations and leadership in close collaboration with the department head and the professional coordinator. You will be a central player in the development of the area and have the opportunity to influence professionalism, collaboration and the working environment.

About Team Residential Care, Support and STU

The team consists of three core areas

  • The Suensonsvej residential facility, a §107 offering for young people aged 18 to 35 with reduced mental functioning and social challenges.
  • Home support initiatives under § 82 and § 85, where employees support citizens in their own homes. The team also works with discharge tasks under the LAB act as well as preparation of autism profiles, etc.
  • STU Frederikshavn, which offers specially designed youth education programs for young people with special needs.

The Suensonsvej residential facility is a 24/7 offering under the Danish Service Act § 107 for young people aged 18 to 35 with reduced mental functioning, special social challenges and therefore cannot live in their own apartment. We work from an appreciative approach where the citizen’s self-determination and quality of life are central. In addition, we work to make citizens self-reliant to be able to live in their own housing.

The starting point is a daily life with a focus on an education- and employment-oriented direction. There are 6 fixed social educators attached, along with a pool of substitutes. The team also consists of 7 social educators who work with housing support tasks – typically in the citizen’s own home – where we offer §82 and §85 interventions. The team also works with §114, discharge tasks under the LAB act, and the preparation of autism profiles, etc.

And the team also includes STU Frederikshavn, where there are up to 30 young people who receive a school-based offer under STU legislation.

The total staff consists of 19 employees.

TBS is part of Jobcenter Frederikshavn, which means the daily focus is on an education- and employment-oriented direction.
