The engineering firm J&P is seeking a fire protection consultant

We are looking for a colleague for our Brand department. Here you will have the opportunity to work on all types of projects, from private residences to larger commercial, shops and institutions, and at the same time help set the direction for fire protection in our projects.

With us, fire protection consultancy is an integrated part of the construction projects, and you will develop the solutions in close collaboration with your colleagues.

We are certified in fire class 2 (BK2), and we collaborate with experienced consultants in BK3 and BK4. This means that we can handle both simple projects and more complex constructions where the requirements for documentation, safety and coordination are high.

About J&P

We are a family-owned consulting engineering company based in Holbæk. Since 1999 we have delivered consultancy, and today we are 45 employees. We are large enough to solve complex projects, but still small enough that we know each other.

At J&P you will become part of a professional community where we work closely together across disciplines, from structures and fire protection to sustainability, environment and HVAC. This means you do not sit alone with your solutions, but always have colleagues to brainstorm with.

We work with both smaller tasks for private clients and complex projects within multi-family housing, commercial and industry. Common to all of them is that we take responsibility for the entire process, from the initial ideas to the finished solution.

About the position

As a fire protection consultant you will become part of our Brand department, where we today are five colleagues. You will work with fire protection in all project phases and across project types, and together we ensure that our solutions live up to high professional standards.

Your tasks will include

• Fire protection consultancy in all project phases
• Preparation of fire protection strategies and technical documentation
• Fire-technical review of existing buildings
• Ensuring that the projects comply with BR18 and applicable standards
• Dialogue with clients, contractors and authorities
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues to optimize fire protection

Your profile

You have an eye for details and thrive on working in depth with fire engineering issues. You like to understand rules and standards and find solutions that both meet the requirements and work in practice. At the same time you are good at communicating the requirements clearly and understandably, whether you are talking to the client, the authorities or the tradespeople on the construction site.

We imagine that you

• Are a fire protection consultant in fire class 2 (BK2) or have the ambition to become one
• Are educated as an engineer or building constructor
• Have experience with fire protection consulting in construction
• Have in-depth knowledge of BR18 and relevant standards within the fire protection field
• Are curious and motivated for professional and technical development

Practical information

• Full-time position with start on February 1, 2027
• Location: Holbæk with easy access to the highway and good parking options
• The position requires physical presence at our office in Holbæk, as we prioritize close daily collaboration. Therefore, working from home is not possible.
