The Family Department is seeking a caseworker for children, young people and families

Position as caseworker for children, youth and families in the Family Department Qaanaaq.

The caseworker for the Family department is based in Qaanaaq and shall work for the town and the corresponding settlements.

The caseworker's immediate supervisor is the head of department for the Qaanaaq area.

Priorities in casework for caseworker for children, youth and families

• Handling casework for foster parents, placed children, and emergency placements
• To assess and process notifications of general reporting requirements and intensified reporting requirements in cooperation with the other caseworkers
• Caseworker with the aid of GetOrganized
• If needed you must be able to assist with, for example: processing of public assistance
• Casework for children, youth and family department. Casework for the disability area
• That you participate in the on-call scheme which varies, including weekends at times 16:00-00:00, 00:00-08:00 (social and on-call)

• Qualified as Social Worker
• Can work administratively
• Able to collaborate across professions
• Willing to cooperate / stable / can maintain confidentiality
• Mentally strong
• Able to work according to laws within the social field
• Able to work overtime upon request
• Able to manage time
• Able to follow the department's rules

There is no staff housing connected to the employment

Salary and terms of employment

Salary - and terms of employment, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
