About the job
The self-governing institution Stefanshjemmet is looking as of 1/1 2027 for an occupational therapist for the Havglimt 2 department. Working hours are 37 hours per week.
As an employee at Stefanshjemmet it is important to us that you are professionally proud, engaged and have your heart in the right place and a view of humanity that aligns with Stefanshjemmet's values. The daily life offers many challenging professional opportunities and ethical dilemmas. Havglimt 2 has a stable team of staff. You will have good and capable colleagues who help each other; there is a good working environment and high spirits among staff and residents.
Stefanshjemmet is a housing and employment offering for people with acquired brain injury and/or severe physical disabilities.
In the Havglimt 2 department there are 10 residents with acquired brain injury, but with different challenges of physical, cognitive and/or communicative nature. The staff have backgrounds as physiotherapist, social and health care assistant, social and health care helper, pedagog or care assistant and perform care, support and activities for the residents in accordance with the Social Services Act.
At Stefanshjemmet we value the multidisciplinary environment and have around 130 employees.
The work in the departments takes its starting point from the residents' needs and possibilities and we are guided by our neuropedagogical approach, a resource-oriented approach with KRAP as a framework, as well as values and ethics.
All staff participate in the work with care tasks, housing support and activities for the residents, and contribute to the common tasks with their own professional perspective. We are seeking a dedicated occupational therapist who wants to participate in both the activities and the care and support for the residents and in planning these.
We want the department to make use of the occupational therapist's knowledge of the body's function, of development- and motivation-building activities in interaction with the residents, as well as knowledge about aids and transfers.
We are seeking an occupational therapist who
· Is professionally well-founded and passionate about their profession
· Has a vision to apply their professionalism in the daily life of the residents, where terms such as everyday rehabilitation, motivation and meaningful activity resonate
· Has knowledge of or will learn to apply aids and transfers and possibly in time will take on the role as transfer advisor in the department and in the house in collaboration with other therapists
· Can work with the residents' goals in close cooperation with other professionals
· sees the value in documentation and sharing of knowledge in a multidisciplinary context
· Is able to take time to be present with the residents and appreciates their life histories
· Is engaged and good at seeing opportunities
· Is outgoing, proactive and initiativeminded
If you are employed with us, an introductory program will be prepared for you as part of your onboarding in the house.
Working hours are rotating day and evening shifts with work every 3rd weekend.
In addition, Stefanshjemmet has a housing association with 44 homes and an activity and social program.
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the principles of the new pay scale under the collective agreement with the Danish Association of Occupational Therapists.
Stefanshjemmet has an operating agreement with Aarhus Municipality.
