On-call Substitute for Baunegården Residential Care Facility

Do you want to make a difference for people with complex needs – and can you meet them with calm, respect and curiosity?

We are looking for on-call relief workers for Baunegården, a social-psychiatric 24-hour service for adults. As an on-call relief worker you will be part of everyday life when there is a need for extra hands – for example due to illness, holidays or other absence.

Shifts are arranged continuously according to need and your availability. They can be at different times, including day, evening and weekend.

Who are we?

Baunegården is a social-psychiatric 24-hour service for adults with severe psychological challenges and complex social problems. The residents may, among other things, have mental illness, active substance abuse, self-harm and substantial support needs. Everyday life requires calm, clarity and attention to the individual person. We are a multidisciplinary workplace with, among others, social and health care assistants, nurses, social pedagogues and occupational therapists.

We work recovery-oriented and start from the residents’ own wishes, hopes, dreams and resources. Our goal is to support the greatest possible influence, mastery and meaning in one’s own life.

Your role as an on-call relief worker

As an on-call relief worker you help with daily tasks and contribute to a safe and predictable everyday life for the residents. The tasks depend on the residents’ current needs and the shift you join.

You will be introduced to Baunegården and the tasks you will perform. We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but it is important that you are curious, ask questions when in doubt, and follow the agreements and procedures that apply.

We imagine that you

• want to work with people in vulnerable life situations
• meet the residents respectfully and with an interest in their perspective
• can maintain calm and an overview, even when a situation becomes difficult
• are responsible and follow the agreements made around the residents
• can collaborate with different professional groups
• are open to learning and receiving guidance
• have relevant experience or education in the social, health or care field – this is an advantage, but not a requirement.
