Two tenors sought for the Holy Spirit Church choir

Helligaandskirken is seeking two tenors, namely a standard singer and a Sunday singer.

The positions involve regular participation in the high Mass, in addition to Evensongs and concert projects.

For the standard singers, the position also entails participation in the church's music devotions and ecclesiastical ceremonies.

Rates

High Mass: 908 DKK

Music devotion: 389 DKK per devotion (about 10 per month in 8 months of the year).

Ecclesiastical ceremony: 389 DKK per ceremony up to 45 min.

Evensong: 1,037 DKK per Evensong (about 8-9 annually).

3-4 Concert projects: typically 3,000-7,000 DKK per project, depending on rehearsal process and scope.

Allowance: 889 DKK per month in availability and qualification allowance.

Extra rehearsals and staff meetings: 130 DKK per half hour

The rates are stated at 2026 level and are adjusted annually. There is also a transfer of 12.5% to the holiday account.

Practical arrangements

• High Masses on Sundays and holidays at 11:00 with choir rehearsal at 10:15
• Service leave eight Sundays per year plus 2nd Easter Day, where the Saint Anna Girls Choir participates
• Music devotions take place on weekdays at 12:00 and Wednesdays at 15:00, when there is no Evensong at 17
• Opportunity for personal practice in the church premises

We are seeking singers who

• have a well-developed singing technique at conservatory level, have solid experience with ensemble singing and good sight-reading skills, but also with solo qualifications
• are eager to actively contribute to the kantor’s artistic development
