Trainees for Foundation Course 2 SOSU with subsequent social and health care helper education

Until 18 January 2027, Odder Municipality is recruiting students to start on Grundforløb 2 SOSU with subsequent social and health care helper education.

You will receive an education contract from the start of Grundforløb 2. Salary during Grundforløb 2 and the main course; if you are 25 or older you will receive adult apprentice wage.

You will be employed as a trainee at one of our 3 care homes: Bronzealdervej and Stenslund Centret in Health & Omsorg, Friplejehjemmet Skovbakkehjemmet, or in the outreach Teams Helhedspleje.

Requirements

• Be deemed ready for education
• If you are a new Danish citizen, you must have a residence and work permit
• Be able to present a criminal record

If you are 25 years or older, your educational program will be adapted to your experience and your competences. When you have sought admission to SOSU Østjylland Århus via www.optagelse.dk you will have an interview with a counsellor, where a recognition of prior learning (RKV) will determine how long your education program should be.

About the education

You start the education on Grundforløb 2 SOSU on 18 January 2027 at the SOSU Østjylland department in Aarhus. Grundforløb 2 lasts 20 weeks, and since it is a theoretical course, you are not in on-the-job training during Grundforløb.

After passing Grundforløb 2 you continue to the main course to become a social- and health care helper. The social- and health care helper education alternates between theory and practical training. Salary and employment terms

You enter an education contract with Odder Municipality, employed at one of the care homes in Odder Municipality. Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field. The trainee position is 37 hours per week with varying working hours. Employment is for a fixed-term period.

Employment in the main course is conditional on passing GF2.

Before final employment you must present a criminal record and possibly a valid residence and work permit.
