About the job

Do you want to help shape the future of speech-language pathology practice?

We are seeking three engaged speech-language pathologists who want to use their professional expertise to make a difference for children with difficulties in speech, language and communication

In PPR Hillerød we are focused on how speech-language pathology knowledge can be translated into interventions that make a difference in the children's everyday life. We work with direct intervention, counseling/guidance and development of linguistic learning environments in day care and schools and have the ambition to bring our professional knowledge even closer to pedagogical and didactic practice.

We are seeking three new colleagues who will start on January 1, 2027

  • A permanent position of 34 hours per week
  • A permanent position of 25 hours per week
  • An maternity leave cover of 25 hours per week

In all three positions you will work with a broad spectrum of speech-language pathology issues, including DLD and phonological difficulties in both day care and schools.

Professionalism that makes a difference in practice

We want to develop a PPR where the speech-language pathology professionalism is further brought into play in the children's daily environments.

For us, practice-orientedness is not about choosing between direct intervention and counseling. It is about being able to choose, combine and tailor interventions according to the child's needs and the opportunities and challenges found in the surroundings.

We work from a participation-oriented approach, where the goal is not only to develop the child's linguistic skills but also to strengthen the child's possibilities to communicate, learn and participate in communities.

It requires that we have both eye for the individual child and collaborate closely with the professionals around the child in everyday life.

Your everyday life as a speech-language pathologist

You will be attached to a number of daycares and a school, where you share the speech-language pathology responsibility with a colleague.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Speech-language pathology examinations, assessments and interventions.
  • Planning and evaluation of individual, group-based and practice-oriented interventions.
  • Collaboration with pedagogues, teachers and management on children's language development and participation.
  • Counseling and guidance of parents and professionals.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration on children with complex needs.

The two permanent positions

The two permanent positions encompass tasks across the daycare and school areas, where you work with children with speech, language and communication difficulties. The tasks range from assessment and intervention to counseling, guidance and interdisciplinary collaboration with parents and the professionals around the child.

In connection with the two positions we also have special tasks within

  • children with complex communicative and developmental difficulties in general day care
  • the stem and development of our work on the stem area

We are focused on composing the tasks according to both the team's needs and the competencies, experiences and interests that the future employees bring with them. Therefore we encourage you to describe your experiences and professional areas of interest in your application.

The maternity leave cover

In the maternity leave cover at 25 hours you will be part of the general speech-language pathology work in both the day care and school areas. You will receive a varied portfolio of tasks including assessment, intervention, counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position offers good opportunities to gain broad experience and become an active part of our professional community.

A strong professional community

You will become part of a speech-language pathology team where we prioritise high professionalism, collegial support and joint reflection on our practice.

We are part of a multidisciplinary PPR that also consists of psychologists, special education consultants, PPR advisers, child ergotherapist and child physiotherapists.

We emphasise that good interdisciplinary collaboration builds on strong monofagile competencies and mutual respect for different professional perspectives.

With us you get

  • A strong professional community with room for curious professional debates, collegial support and humor in a busy everyday life
  • Possibility for professional deepening, competence development and participation in relevant networks.
  • Influence on your task solving and opportunity to contribute to the development of our speech-language pathology practice.
  • A close collegial collaboration where we share knowledge, experiences and challenges.
  • Great influence on planning your tasks and your workday as well as a committed professional and social community.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are educated as an audiologist-speech-language pathologist, have a pedagogical diploma in special education with the modules articulation, language and hearing or have a special education teacher education with specialization in children and young people with speech, language and hearing difficulties.

We also value that you

  • Have a solid speech-language pathology foundation and an interest in professional development.
  • Can translate professional knowledge into targeted and meaningful interventions.
  • Work systematically and are focused on following up the effects of your interventions.
  • Thrive with both independent tasks and close collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups.
  • Are curious, reflective and want to contribute to the development of our shared practice.
  • We value both experience and new perspectives. Therefore we are happy to hear from both experienced speech-language pathologists and recent graduates with professional engagement, curiosity and a desire to develop.
