About the job

Would you like to contribute to an early and easily accessible treatment effort for children and young people in Roskilde Municipality?

We are expanding in our accessible services and therefore seek two psychologist‑professional clinicians.

Are you a psychologist or do you have another basic education with a postgraduate training in psychological treatment theory and methods? Do you have interest in, and preferably experience with, the accessible treatment offers and the Strengthened Cross-Sectoral Initiative for children and young people’s mental health (STIME)?

So perhaps you are the psychologist‑professional clinician we are looking for.

Who are we?

Familiens Hus, Trivselskontakten – Lettilgængeligt behandlingstilbud is anchored in the Health Act §126a with the aim of ensuring that children and young people experiencing early signs of distress have the opportunity for assessment and treatment outside psychiatric care. The ambition is that with the Lettilgængeligt behandlingstilbud we help children and young people experiencing mental distress to the right treatment in time.

Familiens Hus and Trivselskontakten are part of Roskilde Municipality's political ambition of “Strong communities for all children and young people”, where the focus among other things is on an early and developmental effort for children, young people and families. We are organized as an independent unit under Children and Youth in Roskilde Municipality, but housed outside the town hall in Roskilde City Centre with short distance to the station. This enables us to be very accessible to the families and children/young people who need our help.

A multidisciplinary everyday life with meaning

We have clinicians with different backgrounds: psychologists, PPR consultants, family therapists, child and youth advisors and health visitors. As part of Familiens Hus we also meet colleagues from health visiting, the family outpatient clinic, Familiekontakten, etc., as well as several volunteers, all contributing to the early intervention for families and children and young people 0-18 years.

An important part of your daily work in the accessible offerings is the task of STIME and other manual‑based treatment programs. You will work with:

  • pre‑conversations and screening interviews
  • individual treatment courses
  • group courses
  • interdisciplinary sparring and collaboration
  • development of our early and preventive interventions
  • participation in treatment conferences and supervision rounds

Conversations and programs take place at Familiens Hus, but outreach work may also occur.

It is an advantage - but not a requirement - that you are already STIME‑trained. The most important is that you have an interest in the area, including the cognitive method and evidence‑based approach, and that you are keen to be trained within STIME and similar accessible treatment offerings.

Who are you?

  • you are a trained psychologist or have another basic education supplemented with relevant continuing education and experience within treatment methods
  • you have experience working with interventions for children and young people with early distress
  • you have an interest in contributing to the development of early and preventive treatment within the accessible treatment offers in collaboration with psychiatry
  • either you are already STIME‑trained or you would like to become so now
  • you thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration, are solutions‑oriented and seek professional sparring
  • you have a view of the child and the young person in light of relationships and context
  • you work dialogically and inclusively with children, young people, families and partners
  • you are professionally curious and flexible, but maintain overview and structure in the task
  • you are responsible, and you know that documentation of the treatment effort is a substantial part of the work as a clinician under the Health Act.

What do we offer?

With us you get a cozy workplace in the middle of Roskilde city with colleagues with high professional standards. We value close multidisciplinary collaboration and provide room for both specialization and development.

You will get among other things

  • good colleagues with great engagement for the task and the community
  • ongoing education and supervision
  • opportunity for STIME training
  • influence on the development of our treatment offers
  • engaged and professionally strong colleagues and leaders
  • a close multidisciplinary collaboration, where we value the common and the differences
  • an informal and warm tone, where we help each other.
