Development Consultant with a focus on the further development of the education town Nykøbing F. and a good youth life

Do you want to help create the best framework for young people in Guldborgsund Municipality to experience a good youth life, where they can participate in and influence the development of their local community?

We are seeking a strategically grounded and initiative-taking development consultant who can be the unifying force in the municipality's work on the further development of the education city Nykøbing f, youth involvement, democracy and communities. The position is anchored in the Strategy and Development Department in the Center for Policy and Personnel, where you as a central key person in the youth area will play an important role in developing, coordinating and supporting efforts across the entire organization and in collaboration with external actors.

About the position

You will help translate the municipality's ambitions for the youth area into concrete activities, partnerships and projects. You will be the link between the municipality's professional centers, young people, educational institutions, associations, civil society and other actors with an interest in youth and participation. You will work both strategically and practically, and you must be able to move effortlessly between development, coordination, facilitation and project management.

Your main tasks

You will among other things

• coordinate, develop and support the municipality's cross-cutting youth initiatives with a focus on young people's participation, influence and communities
• facilitate and further develop collaborations and networks across the municipality, educational institutions, associations and other actors who work with and for youth
• develop, implement and follow up on activities, projects and events for and with young people, including national, international and EU-funded projects
• participate in cross-cutting project management of initiatives around Elevvenlig Kommune and Børnevenlig Kommune
• prepare political matters, analyses and strategic briefs in the youth area as well as collect and translate knowledge and inspiration from other municipalities, countries and disciplines

We imagine that you

• have a long higher education and experience in driving development and project tasks, including preferably familiarity with foundation- and EU-funded projects
• are passionate about strengthening young people's voices, participation and opportunities and have insight into the conditions and communities that shape young people's lives
• are strong at creating relationships, bridging between different actors and facilitating collaborations and co-creative processes
• navigate safely in the cross-field between politics, administration and practice and can translate ideas into action
• work independently and in a structured way, have an eye for both details and the whole and communicate clearly and professionally

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The position is 37 hours per week.
