The Department of Psychoses at Aarhus University Hospital is seeking doctors in unclassified positions with start on 1 December or by agreement. The positions are for 1 year in duration .

About the Department of Psychoses

The Department of Psychoses performs assessment of adult patients across the entire ICD-10 spectrum. The department treats especially patients within the schizophrenic and psychotic spectrum as well as patients with dementia, delirium, intellectual disability, ADHD, autism and substance-use-related conditions. The department has regional function.

The department has more than 400 employees and is led by Chief Nurse Bente Isager and Chief Medical Officer Marie Behrndtz Brandsborg.

The department comprises three inpatient wards, of which ½ are inpatient, where a rehabilitative intervention can be offered. The Department of Psychoses also has three outpatient clinics: Psychiatric Clinic 2 with Team for Schizophrenia - OPUS, Regional Function, and Team for ADHD. Psychiatric Clinic 1 with Team for Psychoses and Team for Organic Mental Disorders and Team for Integrated Addiction Treatment (TIB), which is a service offering integrated treatment for dual-diagnosis patients.

In the Department of Psychoses there is also a Research Unit. The Department of Psychoses has research and teaching obligations and participates in the clinical teaching of medical students and doctors as well as psychologists in education programs for specialist psychologists. There are training programs for doctors in the specialties of adult psychiatry and general medicine, community medicine and emergency medicine.

You will join the medical group and a multidisciplinary team in the unit to which you are attached. You will also be part of the on-call rota at AUH Psychiatry with about 9 shifts in 18 weeks (night on-call) possibly about 14 day shifts and 14 night shifts over 19 weeks (pre-shifts).

We are seeking doctors who have experience in psychiatry and preferably with knowledge of our target group, but this is absolutely not a requirement. We emphasize that you are flexible and have good collaborative skills.

Salary in accordance with the agreement between YL and Danske Regioner.
