Main training positions in General Practice - Region Zealand

Region Zealand is looking for doctors who are passionate about general practice and would like to work as a general practitioner.

We have a number of offers linked to the position as a main training physician in general medicine.

We offer

• Exciting training programs where you have ample opportunity to bring your skills into play and further develop your competencies
• Introductory course where you meet other training physicians in general medicine and the region’s younger general medical training coordinators (DYNAMU)
• Association with a DYNAMU and a General Medical Training Coordinator (AMU)
• Possibility for part-time employment
• 4 annual obligatory theme days for all training physicians in general medicine, focusing on network formation, professional and clinical issues
• Possibility to participate in a smaller supervision group with a medical supervisor already in phase 1
• Supervision by a qualified medical supervisor in phase 3
• Possibility to train your practical skills at one of the region’s 4 Training and Learning Centers / simulation units

• Specific for the programs linked to Mid and West Zealand Hospital
• Network for General Practice doctors (NAP) with monthly teaching and sparring as well as social events about 2 times a year – run by 2 AP-UKYLs
• UAO in general medicine, working on quality development in block programs, participating in network meetings, acting as mentor and taking part in handover/evaluation interviews
• ’Fund for quality development of training physicians’ further training, where GP doctors are guaranteed funds for ALS courses and can apply for funds for relevant courses up to DKK 24,000 in phase 1 and the block program.

Application

It is a prerequisite that by the time you commence your main training program, you have completed your introductory training in general medicine.

The main training program is applied for with a motivated application, where you, based on the doctor's 7 roles, describe your motivation to become a specialist in general medicine. Please describe your experiences and competencies that you can draw on, and how you think your future role as a specialist in general medicine can develop the field.

• This CV template, which you will find at the bottom of our website
• Prioritization form – to be filled out via videreuddannelsen.dk
• Copy of passport and/or residence permit, if applicable.
• Documentation for completed introductory position in general medicine. Alternatively, attach an assessment form with information about when you expect to complete your introduction program.
• Documentation for mandatory participation in doctor on-call duties in your introductory position (qualification card no. 7) - If you have not achieved the qualifications at the time of application, a document must be attached that you have filled out together with your tutor indicating dates for planned on-call shifts.

For all programs, child certificates will be obtained via the Central Criminal Register prior to employment. Employment is contingent on a clean certificate.

Prioritization of positions

Based on an overall assessment of your application and subsequent interview, the programs will be offered. The applicant found to be the best qualified will have their first priority; the second will have their first priority if it is available, and so on. Therefore, it is important that you prioritize as many programs as possible, but only those you can and want to join.

Note

Phase 1 and phase 2 will be conducted in the same practice. You will be assigned to a phase 3 practice about 2 years before you start your program. The geographic location will be in the same intake area as phase 1 and 2.

• Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
• The application deadline is 22 November at 23:59.
• Employment interviews will be held on Tuesday, 8 December 2026.
