Dalgashus seeks two social educators or SSAs

Imagine a job where you don't have to fit people into the system, but instead help shape the support around the life they want to live.

Dalgashus is part of the Center for Adult Support and Mastery. We work purposefully to enable more citizens with mental health challenges to live an independent life in their own home. Therefore we are looking for two social educators or SSAs for full-time positions in a team that provides flexible support in accordance with SEL. §85, when and where citizens need it. We believe that people develop best in their own surroundings.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same.

You meet citizens where they are in life, and support them in creating the changes that give meaning to them. It may be support for structure in daily life, social relationships, contact to work or education, coping with mental health challenges, or development of skills that make it possible to live in one’s own home. You will become an important co-player for citizens with mental health challenges, where you through relationships, professionalism and flexible support help people create a life with as much self-determination as possible.

About you

• is educated as a social educator or SSA
• has experience with or an interest in the psychiatric/mental health field
• can work independently and at the same time be an active part of a strong collegial community
• is curious, relationship-driven and sees opportunities rather than limitations
• thrives with a flexible workday and can stay calm when things change
• can document and use digital tools

Practical

The positions are 37 hours per week with start 1 January 2027

Working hours include day, evening and weekend shifts, because citizens’ needs don’t stop at 4 pm. In return you will have a role where you can make a real difference when the need is greatest.
