Versatile VVS technician or blacksmith for the Establishment and Terrain Command in Tirstrup

About us

We have our headquarters in Hjørring, but have employees at service locations across the country. We deliver and develop the physical premises for the military operational units, and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence.

We ensure heating, ventilation and water, perform building maintenance and minor repairs, including urgent tasks out on the grounds, and much more.

Many of the tasks are handled by our 29 establishment partner elements, distributed at the largest service locations across the country. Here everything from user inquiries and procurement to event support and building maintenance is managed.

You will become part of the build-out of a completely new partner element at the Air Station in Tirstrup

You will have great influence on your daily tasks and the planning of these.

The position

Your concrete tasks include among other things

• registration and replacement of defective VVS installations
• ongoing maintenance and inspection of plumbing installations in general
• to engage in close collaboration with your own project managers and external suppliers

You will also, in collaboration with your colleagues, and the local units and users, both military and civilian, carry out:

• practical operations and maintenance tasks
• supervision, registration and quality assurance
• receiving goods, etc. at the establishment.

You must also be prepared to solve tasks that fall outside your own area of expertise, in collaboration with our property service technicians.

The position is 37 hours with flexible working hours.

You should thus expect, and be able to thrive in, a dynamic environment with sparring in professional networks.

About you

It is a requirement that you are a trained VVS technician, blacksmith or have another relevant trades background.

We prefer that you have experience in maintenance of buildings and technical installations.

Knowledge of heat management, pellet boiler, heat pumps, waterworks and CTS systems will be an advantage.

You are used to using IT tools and email systems. You express yourself well in Danish, both in writing and speech, and easily relate to other people. You are outgoing, have a good sense of humor and situational awareness.

As a person you are first and foremost a good colleague who values good collaboration with your colleagues and naturally contributes to the community.

You work independently, have a pronounced sense of order and a strong service mindset. In addition you are proactive, take responsibility for tasks and you gladly go the extra mile to find the solution to a problem or challenge.

In connection with the build-up of Tirstrup Air Station, there will in the initial period be conditions and workflows that are not yet fully established. It requires that you are flexible, adaptable and thrive in a daily life where tasks and frameworks continually develop.

You must be prepared that in the start-up period there may be many matters to clarify and not yet fully in place.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license category B.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the current Common Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The State Sector (OAO-S common agreement) and the Craft and Technician Agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is an opportunity for negotiating allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Tirstrup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment.

You as an employee have a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
