About the job

Do you have a passion for meeting children, youths and families with different backgrounds and needs? Do you get energy from being close to the efforts, following them through to the end and ensuring that the help makes a real difference?

In connection with the latest budget negotiations, additional funds have been allocated to the children and youth area in Rudersdal Municipality. This means that we can now strengthen our authority work with an extra permanent position. At the same time we are in a situation where the department has been hit by a baby boom, and therefore we are also seeking a child welfare advisor for a maternity leave replacement.

If you want to be part of a department with high professional standards and strong collegiality, read on.

About the job

In the Child Authority we are at an exciting place, where with new budget funds for the area we are expanding with an additional permanent position for the psychosocial team 0-16 years.

We are therefore seeking

  • A child welfare advisor for a newly created position.
  • A child welfare advisor for a maternity leave replacement.

Both positions from 01 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will work with children and young people aged 0-16 who need a targeted intervention. This can include children and young people who have experienced violence, who are struggling at school or in their leisure time, or who lack stability at home.

Your tasks will include

  • Handling referrals
  • Preparation of screenings, assessments and child welfare investigations
  • Assessment and initiation of relevant interventions, including supportive interventions according to the Child Act § 32
  • Follow-up on interventions in close collaboration with the child/young person, the family and the practitioner
  • Working with the aim that the family, after the end of the process, can be in a stronger position – ideally with support from networks and civil society

Involvement is a cornerstone of our work. We work systematically to ensure that the child's voice is clear and active throughout the case process.

You will become part of a district team with about 5-6 other child welfare advisors, who jointly handle cases from 2-3 schools in Rudersdal Municipality. You will also have close collaboration with the Health Visitors Service (sundhedsplejen) and PPR, which are attached to the same schools.

Across the department we are about 37 employees distributed across reception, placement team, specialist team and psychosocial team – plus two department managers and a head of the authority.

Your profile

We emphasise that you

  • Are eager and willing to create good solutions for children and young people in an authority context
  • Work in an inclusive and trust-building manner
  • Are a team player who actively contributes to joint task solving
  • Take shared responsibility for well-being and a positive atmosphere in daily work
  • Can create an overview and work systematically in a busy daily routine
  • Are educated as a social worker or social facilitator – or have relevant experience from similar positions

Why choose us

  • We prioritise a good working environment and high well-being
  • We are a stable group of colleagues
  • We laugh a lot and prioritise social activities – both during and outside working hours
  • We help each other and never face difficult tasks alone
  • We insist on professional quality, integrity and psychological safety
  • We are curious about each other’s professional expertise and learn from our mistakes
  • We offer flexibility, flexitime and the possibility of working from home

Employment terms

1 permanent position of 37 hours/week starting 01 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter

1 maternity leave replacement for 37 hours/week starting 01 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement and principles for new pay.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 24 November 2026

Application deadline: Thursday 19 November 2026
