About the job

As we have the opportunity to expand our team of night shift staff, we are now seeking a night shift worker with a start no later than December 1, 2026.

We focus on creating good conditions for residents' development and for a good working environment for staff at the autism center around the clock.

We believe

  • That a culture that strives for a common WE is developmental for both residents and staff.
  • That focused professional development increases the quality of social-educational work.
  • That shared responsibility for the workplace creates ownership, wellbeing and engagement.
  • That a psychological working environment based on a strong professional community creates development for both residents and staff.
  • That curiosity and genuine interest in others is the key to favorable development.
  • That everyone, regardless of working hours and employment form, has an equal responsibility to create a high-performing and professionally developing workplace.

If the above makes sense to you, we would very much like to see your application.

As a night shift worker you will handle tasks at both Bilstrupvej 27 A-E and in the flexible housing units, which are located right next to Bilstrupvej. The night shift also covers the night telephone for residents in two of our other services in the municipality. There are three night shift workers on duty at a time to cover the tasks.

At Bilstrupvej 27A-E there is space for 39 residents over 18 years old. All have an autism diagnosis, several of them have mental and/or somatic comorbidities as well as enduring cognitive impairments in the moderate to severe range. In the flex housing units there are currently two residents.

Although a large part of the night shift task is to create calm and safety during the night hours, there are still social and health care tasks to perform, just as there are practical tasks to be solved during the night hours.

You are expected to make relevant documentation in Nexus, work in a structured way with execution of the tasks and ensure proper closing and handover.

Night shift start time is 9:45 PM, which means there are days when it is you who puts some residents to bed, just as there are days when some residents have woken up before you go home and therefore need support with the morning routine.

Currently the night shifts operate in a 7/7 arrangement, i.e., 7 days on duty and 7 days off. The position you will cover works from Tuesday to Tuesday.

All night shift workers are of course offered health screening.

No one can do everything, but we hope you can say yes to much of what follows

  • You have experience with residents with autism and cognitive disabilities.
  • You have knowledge of outwardly reactive behavior.
  • You are good at creating calm and safe environments.
  • You agree that assistance with personal hygiene is part of the core task.
  • You are inclusive, involving and respectful in your meetings with residents.
  • You would like to share and disseminate your professional knowledge.
  • You thrive with a high degree of teamwork and contribute to your colleagues having a good workday.
  • You are driven by actively influencing and developing our workplace.

We offer

  • A workplace focused on developing a professional community and a healthy psychological work environment.
  • A workplace that wants your active contribution to development, professionally and culturally.
  • A workplace that sets mutual expectations and shows you are important.
  • A workplace where we support and take care of each other
  • A workplace where we share enthusiasm.
  • A fixed team of night shift workers so you know your colleagues well.
  • Quarterly night shift meetings
  • Thorough introduction to the duties of a night shift and the Nexus system.
