About the job

At Prehospital South, we are expanding our patient transport division and establishing new emergency response teams in both Esbjerg and Odense S. Therefore, we are looking for up to 6 engaged patient transport rescuers (ST rescuers) for each of the two stations.

You will have the opportunity to become part of a strong collegial community, where together we create safe and professional patient pathways. At the same time, you will be part of the startup of our new emergency response teams, where collaboration, engagement and shared responsibility are in focus.

New emergency response teams in Esbjerg and Odense S

We are establishing new emergency response teams at our stations in Esbjerg and Odense S, and you will therefore have the opportunity to be involved from the beginning.

Please note that we have changed our driving license requirements. From now on, it is a requirement that you hold a large driving license (category C) to be considered for a position as an ST rescuer with us.

The emergency response teams will, as a rule, be staffed in the time period 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. seven days a week . You must therefore be prepared to work on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Working hours may change if operational needs change.

Your daily life as an ST rescuer

As an ST rescuer you play an important role in the lying, non-treatment-required patient transport. You help patients who need transport to and from, for example, hospitals and treatment centers, and you help ensure they experience safety and care along the way.

Your daily life will be varied, and you will drive across the region and meet people in many different life situations.

With your empathy, your overview and your good communication skills, you help create calm and safety when patients are in a vulnerable situation.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who thrive with responsibility and want to make a positive difference for the people you meet. You are good at building trust and know how important it is to meet others with respect, care and professionalism.

We place emphasis on you

  • Are inclusive, helpful and good at creating safety in meetings with others
  • Work independently, structured and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Are flexible and thrive in a everyday where tasks and needs can change
  • Are a team player who contributes positively to collaboration with colleagues and partners
  • Are eager to contribute to a good working environment and be part of the startup of a new emergency response team

Our expectations of you

It is a condition of employment that you

  • Have completed the 4-week course in lying non-treatment-related patient transport (ST)
  • Have a valid driving license for category B and a large driving license (category C)
  • Have a valid driver’s card
  • Have a child welfare and a criminal records check that are compatible with the job as ST rescuer
  • Have good physical condition that matches the physical requirements of the job

If you have experience as an ST rescuer or from the health care sector, it is an advantage but not a requirement.

What can we offer you?

At Prehospital South you will become part of a workplace where professionalism, collaboration and helpfulness go hand in hand.

We offer among other things

  • Opportunity to join from the beginning when we establish new emergency response teams
  • A strong collegial community with an informal tone and room for humor
  • A meaningful and varied everyday life where you make a real difference for others
  • Focus on professional development with ongoing training and follow-up within the ST area
  • Modern technology and equipment that support a safe and efficient working environment

Salary and terms of employment

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in Ambulance-trained personnel - collective agreement 32.44.1 . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
