Virtualization & Storage Specialist for business-critical operations in Aarhus

Your everyday: Infrastructure, automation and architecture

You will be a central part of a dedicated team with responsibility for thousands of virtual servers and petabytes of critical data. At Netic we work by the principle "Automate first" – not just as a buzzword, but to ensure we can focus on the complex architectural challenges rather than manual trivial work.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything from day one, but we are looking for a profile who can see themselves working with:

• Virtualization across platforms: You manage and optimize our large VMware vSphere environments at an enterprise level. At the same time you play a key role in exploring and operating alternative virtualization technologies so our foundation remains agile and independent of any single vendor.
• Storage Specialist (Block, SAN & Object): You get your hands dirty in the engine room of our extensive storage environments. Here you work with everything from the architecture behind SAN infrastructure and operation of classic block-storage to implementation and scaling of modern Object Storage solutions. You ensure optimal lifecycle management and performance tuning.
• Automation as Standard: You spot patterns in operations and translate them into automated deployment- and operating processes that can scale in line with our customers' needs.
• Capacity Planning and Performance: You ensure our setup is always properly dimensioned, and that latency is kept to an absolute minimum through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• 2nd/3rd level support: You participate in solving the complex 2nd/3rd level issues, where we deep-dive into troubleshooting and root cause analysis when the toughest tasks need to land somewhere.

About you: You have a handle on both bits, bytes and the bigger picture

We’re looking for a colleague who has solid "hands-on" experience with running larger IT environments. You’re the type who doesn’t just restart the server to solve a problem, but who has the instinct and curiosity to find the underlying cause. You thrive in an environment where operational stability is alpha and omega, but where two days are rarely the same.

We imagine that you

• Have the right foundation: You have an IT professional background (e.g., data technician or IT engineer) or have built up a correspondingly strong practical experience.
• Master virtualization: You have deep insights into VMware or similar enterprise platforms. If you have knowledge of container technologies, that’s a definite plus.
• Understand Enterprise Storage: You have experience with complex storage systems and know how to get them to perform at their maximum.
• Navigates both Linux and Windows: You have knowledge of Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server at a level where you can troubleshoot and optimize across operating systems.
• Curious about automation: You have the willingness – or experience – for Infrastructure as Code through tools such as Ansible, Terraform or similar.
