About the job

Context

Do you have solid experience with the design of catenary systems, and are you motivated to take professional responsibility in complex railway projects? At SYSTRA Denmark we are seeking a technical lead who can ensure high technical quality, drive coordination across disciplines, and contribute to the continued development of our discipline environment within catenary systems.

SYSTRA Denmark is a central advisor within railway electrification in Denmark and the Nordic region. In the Power Systems and Overhead Line Equipment department, we work with design and advisory services on some of the industry’s most significant infrastructure projects. You will become part of a strong professional environment with more than 40 colleagues who advise customers at both national and international levels, where technical quality, collaboration, and knowledge sharing are central.

We have offices in Ørestad, Horsens, Esbjerg, and Aarhus, and you can choose the base that best suits you.

Missions/Main Duties

As a technical lead you will have the professional responsibility for the design and coordination of catenary systems in complex railway projects. You will play a central role in projects and become an important sparring partner for both customers, partners, and colleagues. The position requires you to combine deep technical insight with structure, overview, and the ability to create progress. As a technical lead you will among other things work with:

  • having the professional responsibility for the design and design of catenary systems in collaboration with project teams and customers
  • ensuring that solutions and deliverables meet applicable norms, EN standards, customer requirements, and project assumptions
  • coordinating technical interfaces towards other disciplines, including track, structures and other relevant railway technical disciplines
  • preparing, reviewing and quality assuring technical documentation, descriptions, drawings and procurement material
  • planning and following up on professional deliverables with a focus on quality, time, and resource consumption
  • participating in technical meetings and clarifications with customers, contractors and partners
  • contributing to professional development, knowledge sharing and sparring with both experienced and younger colleagues

Profile/Skills

We envision that you have a relevant technical education, for example as an engineer, and that you have several years of experience with the design of catenary systems from the consulting industry, contractor side or an infrastructure manager.

You have experience in taking professional responsibility and coordinating technical deliveries in projects. At the same time, you have a good understanding of norms, standards and design principles within railway infrastructure and thrive in an environment where quality, structure and collaboration are crucial.

We also place emphasis on your ability to work independently, communicate clearly and professionally, and keep an overview in complex projects with many interfaces. You should be able to operate in both Danish and English, in writing as well as verbally.

At SYSTRA you will take on a central professional role in some of the most exciting and societally critical infrastructure projects within railway electrification. You will become part of a specialized and international environment where you have great influence on technical solutions and the opportunity to develop further – either as a specialist or with greater responsibility in the projects.

We offer a strong collegial community, high professional sparring and good opportunities for both personal and professional development. We have offices in both Ørestad and Aarhus, and you can choose the base that best suits you.

Apply now and help set the direction for the future of electrified railways!
