About the job

Nivå School has a vacancy in the lower secondary.

We are seeking one physics-chemistry, geography and biology teacher who has a relational approach as a core part of their teacher identity.

All science lessons in the lower secondary are conducted with one co-teacher with a science profile. In addition to subject lessons, the position will therefore also include co-teaching sessions, all located in the lower secondary. Other main subjects are considered a plus.

So if you are passionate about facilitating learning, working with students' well-being and are a trained teacher with good collaboration skills, we would very much like to hear from you.

We have good facilities with modern classrooms for our various subject areas from music, HD, physics, NT, biology, geography, visual arts, physical education to even home economics. In addition, we have a fine makerspace room used by both students and staff. We have computers for all students in the lower secondary and access to digital learning portals is a given, while our school library can satisfy the analog approach to learning.

We also focus on professional development for the individual and work with year-group teams with a high degree of shared decision-making.

We are building a new school

The school's good facilities will become even better when we move into a brand new school building in the town center right by Nivå station in January 2028. The train runs from Nørreport and within 30 minutes you are at the school, which many of our staff use every day.

Professionalism and community

We are a school with good academic results and steadily rising well-being among children and staff over several years.

At Nivå School we value all children, and we see diversity as a strength.

We offer

  • A school with high well-being among pupils and staff
  • Collaboration with both experienced and new colleagues
  • A staff group that prioritizes community and social events
  • Freedom in methods and room for creativity
  • Leadership that cares about people as well as the employee
  • Good facilities and materials

Your profile

  • You are a trained teacher
  • You have a natural and calm authority in the classroom
  • You value primary education and diversity
