We are looking for engaged and professionally strong nurses for 2 new evening shift positions as field-based nurses in Sygepleje Øst with primary affiliation to the care homes.

We are looking for you to start on December 1, 2026 to work in the evening shift and weekend shifts every 3rd weekend.

The position is 37 hours, but we are flexible and will, as far as possible, try to accommodate your wishes for hours.

You will become a central part of a new work organization, which will help shape and pave the way to ensure a coherent, flexible and professionally strong nursing coverage at the district's nursing homes during the evening hours. You will be responsible for the district's nursing homes, where you contribute with nursing expertise sparring, guidance and support to the staff on the shift. You will be part of the team of visiting nurses.

About the position

In the new evening shift position you will have a central role in the nursing efforts at the nursing homes and in collaboration with the visiting nurses. Your meeting place will be in the East Nursing, where your nursing colleagues also come to work.

You will work independently and continuously coordinate with staff and nursing colleagues and managers. At the nursing homes there are fixed nurses available in daytime on weekdays with whom you will have a close collaboration as well.

You will be responsible for ensuring

• prioritizing collaboration with citizens and relatives highly
• being an important professional support for the staff and contributing to security, quality and development in daily task execution
• handling planned, acute and outreach tasks
• performing nursing assessments and priorities
• coordinating your own tasks in collaboration with the nursing homes
• documenting performed actions according to applicable guidelines
• contributing to cross-disciplinary and cross-service cooperation between the nursing homes and the visiting nurses
• on-the-job training and guiding staff in the shift
• consider incoming care plans and discharge reports.

A strong collaboration across boundaries

We aim to strengthen cooperation between the nursing homes and the visiting evening shifts to ensure coherent citizen pathways, high professional quality and an appropriate use of nursing resources.

We have close cross-disciplinary collaboration with relatives, pharmaconomists, dementia consultants, specialists, etc.

There will be 3 nurses in the evening shift in East who meet daily, where you will take responsibility for the nursing homes. In the entire nursing group we have diverse experiences, competencies and perspectives and a broad and high professional level. We have specialist functions within wounds, palliative care, Nexus, continence, as well as various key roles, a clinical supervisor and mentors for newly employed colleagues.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment terms in accordance with applicable collective agreement.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges from DKK 37,534 to 54,773 per month at full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. In addition, there may be shift allowances and other special payments. It is important to note that your concrete salary is determined by your experience, seniority and competencies and is negotiated with the relevant professional organization.
