Then we have an exciting position for you as a nurse with a clinical supervisor function in the Emergency Department at Regionshospitalet Gødstrup.

As a nurse with a clinical supervisor function you will enter into a close partnership with our experienced clinical supervisor, who with high professional standards is passionate about pedagogy, the students, and the acute medical specialty.

You will be a clinical supervisor for about half of your working time and the remainder of the time a staff nurse in the Emergency Department.

As a clinical supervisor you will, among other things, have the following tasks

• Supervise nursing students in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th semesters
• Develop relevant overarching written materials such as introductory materials and clinical study plans
• Plan and conduct educational and evaluation conversations, including formulating concrete study plans in collaboration with the individual student
• Select teaching and study formats that support the student’s progression, both academically and personally
• Plan and conduct clinical education, supervision, reflection, prerequisites, clinical exams, simulation training in NIDO and teaching at VIA
• Contribute to cross-disciplinary teaching initiatives at hospital level, including development and implementation of ongoing changes in nursing education e.g. the new reform for the summer intake 2027
• Participate in ERFA meetings and theme days
• Contribute to the ongoing preparation of the training site approval
• Participate in quality assurance of the clinical education
• Supervise and support colleagues in their role as daily supervisors alongside nursing students

Conditions for a clinical supervisor in the Emergency Department

• The working hours are distributed with about 50% for the role of clinical supervisor and about 50% work as a staff nurse in the department
• It is expected that you participate in weekend work, public holiday coverage and evening/night shifts corresponding to half of what the other nurses in the Emergency Department perform.
• You must be prepared to primarily take holidays during periods without students with clinical time in the Emergency Department

We are looking for a nurse who

• Has a qualification as a clinical supervisor or wishes to obtain it
• Has a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably within the acute field
• Has good pedagogical skills
• Is motivated for professional and personal development
• Is proactive and responsible
• Can demonstrate independence combined with good collaboration skills
• Contributes with creativity, engagement and a positive approach to everyday life

IT competencies at a basic user level are expected.

Who is the Emergency Department

• The Emergency Reception is a large department divided into smaller zones with a dedicated team of skilled professionals for each zone.

The department receives all types of patient categories from trauma patients in Zone 1, to more critically ill patients in Zone 2 and generally undetermined acutely ill patients in Zones 3-6. In addition we staff three acute clinics and assist the general practitioner in Gødstrup, Holstebro, Lemvig and Ringkøbing.
