The 3rd position is a maternity leave replacement at 37 hours per week. All positions are available as of January 1, 2027.
About the job and the tasks
Family Team Ølholm is part of the authority section in Children & Families. We are physically located in Ølholm and cover the western part of the municipality.
When employed in Children & Families, you become part of a workplace that places well-being high and gives room for individuals to use their specialist strengths in the professional work. We are committed to everyone contributing to a safe and positive shared culture, while together we perform good social work.
With us, we are employed to master handling of the core tasks and to master positive collaboration both internally and externally. This means that in Children & Families we are employed with equal parts professionalism and collaboration – even when things are tough. Here we are especially committed to solving the rough patches together and making the collaboration work for the families' best.
In the Family Team the tasks include
- Involvement of children, young people, parents and networks as a natural part of task solving.
- Preparation of assessments, child welfare inquiries and child and youth plans.
- Mapping and involvement of networks.
- Initiation of supportive interventions and placements.
- Follow-up on initiated interventions.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration concerning children, young people and their families.
- Participation in network meetings at schools, day care centers, etc.

- Dialog-based collection of information.
- Advice and guidance.
Our expectations of you
We expect you to be a team player and ready to take shared responsibility in the department's daily operations. You are prepared to contribute to the development of the department's methods for solving the core task for Learning, and you have good communication skills – both oral and written.
You can handle a busy workday and have a good sense of humor. You are educated as a social worker, and ideally have several years of experience in the area. You have in-depth knowledge of DUBU at user level.
- You know your strengths and development potential, just as you see the value in both receiving and giving advice and sparring.
- You see reflection on your own practice as a natural and necessary part of being and remaining a skilled social worker.
Why you should choose us
In Family Team Ølholm we have a good collegial environment where we support and help each other. We offer appropriate challenge, sparring and feedback to one another as a basis for development both individually and as a team. We do this both at our team meetings and ad hoc, as a natural part of being on the same team.
Openness and trust are important to us, so we stand together in both good and difficult times in handling our shared core task.
In Children & Families Authority we have various common social-work concepts that ease daily work. The professional system is DUBU, and we continuously develop supporting tools in social work, including a digital overview tool that links a visual case flow with procedures, templates, legislation and participation methods.
In Children & Families we have across the authority and across the field developed some principles for our collaboration, which we generally named “Together we are strongest.” . This means that we all are part of a mentalizing feedback culture, where we strive to make one another look good, both organizationally, relationally and close to the citizens.
This is something we will continuously work on, strengthen and develop going forward, because only together can we solve the core task for the benefit of children and youth. Together WE ARE strongest, and it is important that you want to work with this as a starting point.
We offer
- Individually tailored introductory program.
- Opportunity to perform good social work in the early and preventive field.
- Opportunity to bring your own competencies into play and contribute to the development of the department.
- A high degree of own competence, which you are very welcome to put into play.
- An attractive caseload.
- A varied and exciting job where you can challenge yourself and your competencies.
- A good working climate and collegial community in the team and across both the authority and the practitioner in Children & Families.
- Management support and backing.
- Professional reflection and sparring as needed.
- External supervision.
- Ongoing competence development.
- A workplace that is happy to give space to you and your competencies.
- Health scheme and staff association with ongoing events and discount schemes.

About us
All citizens in Hedensted Municipality should thrive. We must, as a municipality, support them in that movement. For Children & Families this means that we must actively contribute to ensuring that children and young people have the optimal conditions and safe learning environments, both at home and in our institutions. We must support them in developing their participation capacity and opportunities. We see this as a shared responsibility, where families, local communities and the municipality's offerings together create the movement for all children and young people.
Children & Families covers the specialized area for children and youth aged 0-18 and referred citizens with refugee backgrounds during the first three years in Denmark. We are organizationally placed under Learning.
The core task for Learning in Hedensted Municipality is “Together we create movement, so that children and young people in committed communities develop into capable and future-ready individuals.”
In Children & Families we have, together with our partners, focus on engaging with children, young people and their families with special needs earlier and developing the interventions for the families. We are well on our way in implementing the Child Act – not only in Children & Families but across Learning. We have just decided on a common view of children and young people “All children and young people do as well as they can – let us together give them the opportunity.”
We have a particular focus on involving the children, the young people and their families and work with interdisciplinary coordination and Signs of Safety – just as we develop various involvement tools, depending on the child’s/youth’s age, functional level and challenge.
We work purposefully with the systematic approach in case processes and have a wide range of offerings to involve. Across the entire Children & Families we are agreed that we are each other's prerequisites to succeed in creating the change for the children, the young people and their families, and we must support each other in solving the tasks.
