We are seeking social- and health care assistants for both day shifts and evening shifts at Toftehaven Care Home

We are a developing nursing home with a core of engaged staff who want to strengthen the recruitment of social and health care assistants.

We are looking for engaged and professionally strong social and health care assistants for evening shifts and for day shifts.

Your main tasks

• You will become a central part of the residents' daily life, where relationships, presence and respect are the foundation for everything we do
• You work with holistic care and support, where there is time and space for the individual person
• You help ensure high professional quality in task execution with a focus on both structure, overview and professional standards
• You work systematically with documentation and help create coherence and quality in our efforts. We work in Nexus.

Your competences

• You are trained social and health care assistant and you want to work in an environment where professionalism and humanity go hand in hand, preferably with an interest in dementia and/or psychiatry
• You thrive in a working environment where we lift as a team, and where good humour and energy are a natural part of everyday life
• You value collaboration and actively contribute to a strong and supportive community
• You are curious about your profession and motivated to develop yourself and learn new things
• You have a mind for the individual person and contribute to creating a safe, recognizable and meaningful daily life for our residents

Who we are

Toftehaven is a modernized nursing home with a cozy atmosphere, located close to central Ballerup. We consist of four departments and are home to around 63 residents. In 2027 we will expand with 48 new places. It will be exciting.

Many of our residents live with dementia, and some have psychiatric disorders with accompanying cognitive challenges. Therefore we work to create a safe and recognizable daily life with room for flexibility, presence and individual needs rather than fixed daily structures.

We work according to the values of the Municipality of Ballerup and our common core task. Together we create opportunities for a good and meaningful life regardless of life situation, as close to what is familiar as possible. Hiring process and salary

The starting date is 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

The positions are permanent and the workload is by agreement.

Application deadline: 23 October 2026.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for social and health care assistants in the municipalities.

Employment is based on the principles of local pay formation and after agreement with the negotiating party.

The salary range for the position is 29,539.98 DKK – 43,824.14 DKK per month without pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiation between the employer and the trade organization that has the right to negotiate in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
