Children and Family – Authority in Varde Municipality is seeking social workers. The positions are anchored in our child districts. The positions are permanent and fixed-term.

About us

In Varde Municipality, Children and Family – Authority and The Family Center are gathered under the same management. This provides a strong common professional direction and good frameworks for close collaboration around children, young people, and their families.

The Authority department consists of a reception, specialist advice, placement and return functions, youth unit, infant and toddler team, and two child districts.

The work is based on the Child Act, where we continue to improve to become even better at working with the intentions behind the legislation. We have a strong focus on the child’s perspective, and involvement is central in our work at all steps of case processing.

Case processing is planned according to the method shared language , where we focus on what the child’s concerning actions tell us. We also use concrete questioning techniques to obtain knowledge about the family’s resources and challenges to support our ongoing assessments.

In the child districts, we work with the target group of children aged 4 to 14 years who need special support. We handle the case processing when there is a need for developing a child welfare assessment and supportive interventions. We work closely with the child, the family, and the other professional and private networks in helping to meet the child’s needs.
