We are looking for an engaged pedagogue for our kindergarten who is passionate about children's wellbeing, development, play and children's communities.

Who are we?

Vangede Children's House is a house full of life, curiosity and different perspectives. We have 32 infants and about 50 preschool children, each contributing to our diverse children's community.

We aim to create a daily life where all children feel seen, heard and valued. We meet the children with care, curiosity and positive expectations and work purposefully to create safe environments where they can develop and experience the joy of being part of a community.

Play and participation opportunities

We know that play is of great importance for children's wellbeing, development and relationships. Therefore, we strive to be present adults who observe, participate in and guide the children in play. We help the children enter into play communities, develop their play skills and notice each other's possibilities. We are focused on how our positioning and participation as adults can make a difference for the children's opportunities to participate.

Diversity and communities

Our group of children includes different needs, cultures and backgrounds. We see this as a strength and an important part of our pedagogical work. We continuously explore how we can design learning environments that take the children's differences into account and give everyone the opportunity to feel like a valuable part of the community.

Time for professional practice and pedagogical development

In Gentofte Municipality there is an agreement with BUPL about preparation time for all pedagogues. This means that time is set aside for professional reflection and for developing the pedagogical practice.

For us, this is an important opportunity to work with an investigative and reflective approach to our pedagogy. The preparation time can be used, among other things, to work with didactic methods, plan pedagogical processes and develop learning environments that create good participation opportunities for all children.

We want to use the professional time to ask questions about our own practice, share perspectives with colleagues and together find new ways to support the children's wellbeing, development, learning and formation.
