About the job

We are seeking 3 employees for a specialized single-person project at Boformen Søparken

Are you passionate about social pedagogy, relationship work and high professional standards? Do you thrive in close team collaboration, where professional sparring, structure and good collegiality go hand in hand? Then it might be you we are looking for!

At Boformen Søparken we are looking for three dedicated staff for a specialized single-person project, where you together with your colleagues will create security, well-being and meaningful frameworks for a young man in need of close pedagogical support.

We are looking for you who can remain calm, think professionally and meet another person with respect, curiosity and understanding. You who know that relationships take time, that small steps can make a big difference, and that the quality of the pedagogical work is created in collaboration.

With us you will become part of a fixed team where we work purposefully with the pedagogical effort, share our professional reflections and support each other in succeeding with the task.

Who are we?

Boformen Søparken is a residential facility under the Danish Housing Act § 105, para. 2, with support under the Social Services Act § 85.

Søparken consists of three departments with a total of 16 apartments and a social and activity offer under the Social Services Act § 104 with space for a further 16 residents.

We are a service for adults aged 19–78 with physical, mental and social functional impairments. The residents' support needs vary and range from personal care to support with structure in daily life, practical tasks, participation in activities and social communities.

Our shared core task is to support the resident in being an actor in their own life and to create the greatest possible meaning, self-determination and well-being – every day.

We take our starting point in the individual resident's wishes, needs and resources and respect each person's right to self-determination. We work with high professional standards and respect for the individual, and we are aware that our approach and actions have an impact on the resident's well-being and quality of life.

A specialized task with the relationship at the center

As a staff member in the single-person project you will be part of a fixed team that together handles the pedagogical work around a young man needing a safe, predictable and structured everyday life.

The task requires patience, professional reflection and the ability to build and maintain a stable and trusting relationship. You must be able to work systematically while being curious about what lies behind the resident's behaviour, needs and reactions.

The effort is organized with a focus on stability, continuity, relationships and high professional quality. Together with your team colleagues you will help create frameworks where the resident experiences security, predictability and opportunities for well-being and development.

The pedagogical effort focuses among other things on

  • To build and maintain a safe and trusting relationship.
  • To create structure, recognizability and clear boundaries in daily life.
  • To prevent conflicts and use a de-escalating pedagogical approach.
  • To understand the resident's signals and needs and adapt the effort accordingly.
  • To support the resident's well-being, self-determination and quality of life.
  • To ensure coherence and continuity in the effort through close and committed team collaboration.

You will be part of a fixed, multidisciplinary team that together handles the effort in day and evening shifts. You will also collaborate with the other staff at Søparken, management and relevant partners.

The work includes day, evening shifts and weekend shifts.

We work professionally, purposefully and systematically

At Søparken professionalism is not just something we talk about – it is something we translate into action in daily life.

We take as our starting point a neuro-pedagogical approach and use relevant professional methods, including Low Arousal and LA2u. The approaches and methods help us to understand the resident's prerequisites, needs and reactions, so we can plan an effort that supports security, well-being and prevention of conflicts.

We are focused on understanding the person behind the behavior and exploring what works for the individual. Therefore we work inquisitively, reflectively and systematically in our pedagogical practice.

Professional documentation is a natural and important part of our work. We prioritize documentation highly because it supports coherence, knowledge sharing and continuity in the effort. It helps us follow the resident's well-being and development, inform our professional decisions and learn from our experiences.

We therefore expect you to see the value in documenting your observations and professional reflections and using them actively in collaboration with your colleagues.

We believe that good collegiality makes us better

Although the task is specialized and places high demands on our professionalism, there must also be room for smiles, laughter and an informal tone.

We emphasize being good colleagues who support each other, share experiences and dare to ask questions about both our own and each other's practice. We help each other, bring our different competencies into play and know that we succeed best when we work in the same direction.

With us you become part of a community where there is room for both professional depth, sparring, humor and good mood – also on days when the task requires a little extra.

We also prioritize close cooperation with relatives, high ethical awareness in relation to the resident, and safe and correct medication management as important parts of our overall effort.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are educated social pedagogue, pedagogical assistant or have another relevant education.
  • Preferably have experience with single-person projects and/or social-pedagogical work with young people. This is an advantage, but your professional approach and motivation are also highly valued.
  • Can work calmly, professionally and relationship-building – even when situations become challenging.
  • Have a desire to work with neuro-pedagogy, Low Arousal and LA2u and translate professional approaches and methods into practice.
  • Can observe, reflect on and document your professional observations and actions.
  • Thrive in close team collaboration and take joint responsibility for the shared professionalism and quality of the effort.
  • Are stable, responsible and prepared to work systematically with structure and predictability.
  • Contribute positively to collegiality and value a workplace with an informal tone and good humor.

The most important is that you want to engage in a specialized pedagogical task where the relationship, the professionalism and the collaboration are decisive.

You must be prepared to work day, evening shifts and every other weekend.

What do we offer you?

We offer you

  • An exciting and meaningful position in a specialized single-person project.
  • The opportunity to make a concrete difference in another person's daily life.
  • A fixed team with dedicated colleagues and a focus on joint professional development.
  • A workplace with high professionalism and focus on neuro-pedagogy, Low Arousal and LA2u.
  • Professional sparring, reflection and focus on qualified documentation.
  • Thorough introduction and training so you are well equipped for the task.
  • Regular supervision and opportunities to develop your professional competences.
  • Good colleagues, an informal tone and room for humor and good spirits.

We want to create a workplace where you can develop professionally and be part of a community where we take care of the task, the resident and each other.
