About the job

Natbasen has expanded, and we are therefore seeking one more social- or health-professional staff member to join our team

We are a well-established service in the Social Psychiatric Center for Independent Living and Health, providing support to the center's housing with support under §105.

The support is provided both by telephone and face-to-face and based on a recovery-oriented approach. Natbasen is based in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, but provides support to offerings in several other districts, for which a car is provided.

About the job

As a staff member in Natbasen, you will become part of a professionally strong team with engaged and experienced colleagues. You will work closely with staff at the housing with support services that are linked to Natbasen, and you will also have contact with external partners such as hospitals, doctors, psychiatrists, and the police.

Your task is to provide support to residents during night hours when there is a need for help, guidance, security, or a professional assessment. Many residents manage large parts of everyday life themselves, but may, in periods, need support to handle situations that arise at night.

You must be able to meet residents based on their individual wishes, needs, and resources. At the center, we work from a rehabilitative and recovery-oriented approach, where the goal is to support residents' independence and their opportunities to master their own lives.

We place emphasis on high professional quality, commitment, and a solutions-oriented approach. This means that you must be able to act independently, maintain overview, and collaborate constructively with both residents, colleagues, and external partners. We also expect you to actively contribute to professional sparring and reflection within the team.

Documentation is an important part of the work. We use the documentation to create coherence in the efforts, share relevant observations, and support learning and development of professional practice.

We ensure you get a good start

You will receive a thorough introductory and training program as well as assignment to a mentor, so you are well prepared for the tasks. In addition, we offer supervision, staff meetings, professional sparring, competence development, and courses.

Natbasen is a workplace in development, where we value new perspectives and good ideas. You will therefore also have the opportunity to contribute to and shape the continued development of our offering.

About the coverage area

Natbasen covers nine offerings in the Center for Independent Living and Health: These offerings fall under ABL§ 105 (general housing) and are located in residential areas with buildings similar to neighbors. All residents have individual tenancy contracts with the housing association. Residents receive support under SEL §§ 83 and 85

The target group is residents aged 23 years and older, who have altered perception of reality and personality disorders, which may be combined with anxiety and depression as well as possible substance misuse of various drugs.

We are looking for you who

  • are educated as a social and health care assistant, nurse, pedagogue, or have another relevant social or health-related education
  • have an interest in social psychiatry and the challenges associated with the field
  • wish to contribute to offering the target group a high level of professional effort, and you see the value in thorough documentation, where learning and professional development are a natural part
  • can both receive and provide professional sparring and see it as a natural part of your role and find it professionally challenging to work with complex case progressions and have a professional approach and authority
  • are able to remain calm and keep overview – even in challenging situations – and meet other people with genuine respect
  • have IT skills at user level and an interest in using digital tools. It is an advantage if you have experience with electronic journal keeping and familiarity with FMK. A driving licence is also an advantage, but not a requirement

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement. The position is 37 hours per week. Natbasen’s opening hours are 22:00–08:00, every day of the week, as well as every other weekend. We would like the position filled by January 1, 2027. In connection with the employment, we will obtain a criminal record and references.
