ZBC SOSU Holbæk is seeking an instructor for Danish, English and Social Studies

At ZBC SOSU Holbæk we educate the future social and health helpers, social and health assistants, and pedagogical assistants. We are now seeking an engaged teacher who would like to teach Danish, English and social studies – primarily for Basic Course 1 and Basic Course 2 – and at the same time be part of a strong collegial community where we develop the teaching together.

With us no one is left alone. We plan, develop and implement teaching in close collaboration, and many of our teaching programs are interdisciplinary. We believe that students learn best when subjects complement each other, and when teaching feels relevant, practical and meaningful.

We are therefore looking for a teacher who wants to be an active participant in a committed team where sparring, knowledge sharing and joint development are a natural part of everyday life.

About the position

The position is primarily linked to our younger students on Basic Course 1 and 2.

You will teach Danish, English and social studies up to and including C level. In addition, other teaching tasks may also be included depending on your competences and the school's needs.

We work in a holistic way, where fundamental subjects are closely linked to the students' vocational education. The teaching takes its starting point in the situations, problems and dilemmas that students will meet in their future professions. Therefore, collaboration between core-subject teachers and vocational teachers is an important part of our daily life.

Our students come with very different academic, personal and social prerequisites. Therefore we are looking for a teacher who can create clear learning frameworks, motivate the individual student and at the same time contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

We continuously work on developing our didactics and trying out new teaching forms. If you want to think creatively and develop the teaching together with your colleagues, you will fit in well with us.

Your tasks will include

• Teach Danish, English and social studies up to and including C level
• Plan and carry out interdisciplinary teaching programs with colleagues
• Participate in the development of teaching and learning environments
• Work with differentiated teaching that motivates students with different prerequisites
• Be a contact teacher and support the students' well-being, development and completion
• Participate in bridge-building and introduction programs for prospective students
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, guidance counselors and external partners.

We are looking for a teacher who

• Is passionate about teaching young people and can create engaging teaching with high professional standards and clear classroom management
• See relationships as an important prerequisite for learning and can make Danish, English and social studies relevant in an vocational context
• Thrives with developing teaching together with others, and enjoys working cross-disciplinary and contributing to joint solutions
• Is curious about new didactic methods and digital possibilities
• Contributes positively to a workplace characterised by humor, helpfulness and engagement
• Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience after completing education.

Your educational background

You are a teacher by training with relevant specialisations or have an equivalent educational background.

We emphasise that you have strong competencies in Danish, English and/or social studies and can teach up to and including C level.

To teach in vocational education, the requirements for education and work experience as stated in the applicable regulation apply. If you do not already have a vocational pedagogical diploma, we will arrange a educational program for you.

Employment

The position is a full-time position, and we look forward to welcoming you on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible. There will be fluctuations in working hours so that some periods are busier than others.

The employment area is ZBC, and you will as a rule have your place of service at Slotshaven 3, 4300 Holbæk.

Employment will take place in accordance with the applicable Unified Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Unions for Teachers (LC) and the Central Organisation of 2010 as well as the associated organizational agreement for managers and teachers at institutions offering basic social and health educations (including SOSU schools).

Depending on seniority, the monthly salary will be between DKK 32,413.67 and DKK 37,813.10.

As an educational institution we will obtain a child protection clearance in connection with a potential appointment.
