Work environment
What does it mean?
Work environment (arbejdsmiljø) includes all conditions that affect employees' health and wellbeing at work: physical factors (noise, chemicals, ergonomics, lighting), organisational factors (workload, hours, influence) and social factors (harassment, cooperation, leadership).
The Danish Working Environment Act requires employers to prevent accidents and health problems through risk assessment, safety measures and employee involvement via health and safety representatives (AMR) and the health and safety organisation (AMO).
Psychosocial work environment — stress, bullying, unreasonable demands — receives increasing attention. You can raise concerns with your manager, AMR, union or Arbejstilsynet.
A good work environment supports productivity, retention and wellbeing. When job searching, ask about culture, workload and support structures in interviews.

Two-week rule
