Temp worker
What does it mean?
Temp worker (vikar) is employed by a staffing agency (vikarbureau) and lent to client companies for short or medium assignments — cover for sickness, peaks or special projects.
Pay and rights depend on agency contract and collective agreements (often HK/Temporary Agency Agreement). After certain periods at same client, equal treatment rules may apply — client company pay and conditions as reference.
Temp work offers flexibility and variety but less job security and sometimes lower benefits than direct employment. Useful for entering sectors, building experience or bridging unemployment.
If receiving dagpenge, temp work hours and income must be reported to a-kasse immediately — rules on supplementary benefits and availability apply (see temp work and unemployment benefits).

Two-week rule
