About the job

We are busy and have plenty of activities in our swimming halls, so we are looking for three lifeguards (2 women and 1 man) for our swimming halls. Do you want to be part of a team that every day makes an extra effort to create good and professional experiences for our guests? Do you thrive in a versatile work environment where service, safety and collaboration go hand in hand? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.

We are looking for three engaged and service-minded lifeguards (2 women and 1 man) for the swimming halls in Odense. All positions are full-time (37 hours/week), but in one position there is a possibility for a smaller weekly number of hours (32-35 hours/week) if desired. Our swimming halls are the focal point of many exciting associations and leisure activities, so it is an important and meaningful role that you, together with your colleagues, perform to the benefit of children and adults of all ages.

About the job

Your primary tasks will be

  • Supervision at the pools, where you ensure safety
  • To provide good service and guidance to our many guests
  • Cleaning of facilities in collaboration with your colleagues
  • Carrying out daily water tests
  • Lots of ad hoc tasks that exist in a swimming hall

We are open 363 days a year, and our opening hours on weekdays are 6.00 to 22.00. You must therefore be prepared to join a shift plan with changing working hours distributed over day, evening and weekend work. Your shifts can be distributed across different swimming facilities.

Who are you?

You are a smiling, approachable and responsible person, who

  • is service-minded and flexible
  • understands the role of lifeguard and is thus visible and accessible
  • thrives in close cooperation with colleagues and is a true team player
  • contributes positively to both the work environment and all types of tasks.

You do not need to know everything, but you must have the courage to try, as it is your attitude and approach to the tasks that weighs the most.

Experience as a lifeguard is an advantage, but we ensure the right training if you are the right match.

We expect that you

  • already have - or can pass - the lifeguard exam
  • can join a shift plan with changing shifts
  • are quality-conscious, self-driven and take pride in getting things done
  • can work independently and prioritize your tasks
  • thrive in an organisation where trust is always valued higher than control

We offer

  • thorough training in the job
  • a informal and trusting workplace
  • opportunity to stay in shape and maintain your skills as a lifeguard at work
  • ongoing education and upgrading in first aid

Salary and employment terms

The positions are on average 37 hours per week, and to be filled as soon as possible. One position may be 32-35 hours/week, if desired. Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization. The expected salary level will be indicated before any interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
