About the job

Do you want to help organise scientific events and support the institute's research, education and management activities through professional administrative support? Do you thrive with a varied task portfolio, where you coordinate events, support research activities and contribute to the daily operations of an active and international institute?

We are seeking an engaged and structured employee for a versatile position in the Economics Institute's staff. The position includes, among other things, coordination of scientific events, research administration and administrative support to the institute's leadership and other operational activities. Start date is 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

About the position

The position includes administrative support for the institute's scientific events. In addition, you will provide administrative support to the vice-institute director for research and the institute's Research Ethics Committee, and take care of a range of administrative operational tasks. Finally, you will, in close collaboration with the institute's data infrastructure team, contribute to research administrative tasks, including handling data processing agreements.

You will become part of an administrative team of eight skilled and helpful colleagues who work together to support the institute's research and dissemination activities. We offer a work environment characterized by professionalism, collaboration and flexibility, where knowledge sharing and an informal tone are a natural part of daily life.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Execution, coordination and administration of various events, including budget follow-up, room and hotel bookings, communication with participants and handling travel reimbursements
  • Administrative support to the institute's Vice-Institute Leader for Research as well as secretarial support to the institute's Research Ethics Committee
  • Coordination of recruitment and extension processes for the institute's many student assistants in collaboration with researchers and HR, and approval of student assistants' timesheets
  • Assist in entering into data processing agreements for external researchers, including assistance in connection with settlement processes and journaling
  • Various purchases, administration of service agreements and other administrative operational tasks.

We imagine that you

  • Have an office education or other relevant administrative education, as well as experience with administrative processes
  • Work in a structured, independent and responsible manner, and maintain an overview in a busy daily life with many simultaneous tasks
  • Are service-minded with attention to detail, flexible and thrive in an international research environment
  • Speak and understand Danish
  • Have an interest in or experience with event, personnel or research administration
  • Are familiar with MS Office and preferably administrative systems such as Conference Manager, CWT, RejsUd, SDI and WorkZone.

We offer

  • A versatile position with varied tasks and a broad contact network across the university
  • An engaged and academically strong work environment with capable colleagues, good opportunities for sparring and professional development, and close collaboration with the institute's research and education environments
  • Flexible working conditions with flextime, the possibility of remote work and attractive premises in historic buildings centrally near Nørreport Station.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week. Employment is according to the HK agreement for state clerical officers with placement in salary grade 3.2. Salary is set according to qualifications.

If you are interested in the position, please submit your application electronically via the Job Portal (click the link "APPLY FOR THE JOB" at the bottom of the posting) so it reaches the university no later than 31 October. Interviews will take place in week 45.

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
