Æblehaven is seeking a professionally skilled pedagogue for a specialized residential care facility

Would you like to help make a difference for adults with complex support needs?

Æblehaven is a specialized residential facility for adults who are blind or deaf-blind with additional complex functional impairments. The residents may have psychological and physical disabilities, dementia symptoms, anxiety and other health-related issues. Several of the residents are nonverbal or have very limited verbal language, which requires your ability to read, understand and support alternative forms of communication, as well as create safe and predictable frameworks.

The position is 37 hours per week, with weekend work every 2nd or 3rd weekend. By agreement, fewer hours can be offered. We strive to accommodate special wishes or needs if it is compatible with Æblehaven's operations.

Your tasks will include

• Support for structure, well-being and daily activities
• Personal care and support
• Compensatory measures to support self-care
• Support for residents' independence and quality of life
• Documentation in Nexus and interdisciplinary collaboration

• Has experience with or an interest in working with residents with complex support needs
• Can work relationally, in a structured way and with a high level of professionalism
• Has an eye for the resident's individual needs and daily condition

Diverse information

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in accordance with agreement 34.06.1 32.03.1 32.38.1 . In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
