AMU-Fyn seeks a heavy vehicle driving instructor - Use your professional skills and make a difference for others

Are you a heavy vehicle driving instructor, and would you like to pass on your knowledge and experience? At AMU-Fyn we are looking for a colleague in the transport department who will help educate skilled, responsible and safety-conscious drivers.

At AMU-Fyn we educate adults for the labor market. Our teaching is based on the reality in which the participants will use their competences – whether they are entering a new sector or building on their experience.

As a heavy vehicle driving instructor you will be an important part of the task. You will not only convey rules, techniques and driving skills, but also create a learning environment where participants feel safe to ask questions, practise and learn new things.

You meet people with different experiences and prerequisites. Therefore we are looking for someone who both has command of their subject and can meet each individual learner with respect, patience and clear expectations.

Your daily life with us

You plan and carry out theoretical and practical teaching within the truck and bus sector. You link professional knowledge with concrete situations from the transport industry and help learners translate what they learn into safe and professional conduct.

You follow up on learners' learning, give constructive feedback and, together with your colleagues, contribute to developing the teaching and teaching materials.

You will become part of a team where we help each other and take joint responsibility for the quality of teaching and for ensuring everyday operations. This also means contributing to the department's shared tasks and events.

We are looking for someone who

• Has the driving instructor training and valid authorization for categories C, D and E.
• Wants to teach adults and can explain subject matter in an understandable and practice-oriented way.
• Can build trust and tailor your teaching to learners with different prerequisites.
• Works independently and in a structured way – while also valuing collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Experience with teaching is an advantage but not a requirement. We also value that you want to develop yourself as a instructor, both professionally and pedagogically.

Salary and employment

Salary, pension and other terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement and organizational agreement for teachers at the labor market education programs in the state sector.

The position is 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible by agreement.

Your primary workplace is Odense, but teaching at our driving technology facility in Fredericia may occur.
