Anesthesiology nurse for Anesthesia and Surgery South, Day Surgery 2, Aarhus University Hospital.

Would you like to be part of a strong day-surgery team with high professionalism, short patient pathways, and great job satisfaction? We are looking for an anesthesiology nurse for Day Surgery 2 starting 1 December 2026.

The position is generally 37 hours or other by agreement. Your working hours will predominantly be from 7:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday. However, there may be occasional shifts up to 17:00. We are closed on all public holidays and weekends.

The day surgery at AUH consists of four wards. Day Surgery 2 and 4 work closely together, and are in a new organization together with Anesthesia and Surgery South. Day Surgery 1 and 3 are organizationally together with Anesthesia and Surgery North. The new organization provides many exciting opportunities.

The specialties in day surgery 2 are urology and gastrointestinal surgery. Several of our operations within these two specialties are highly specialized surgery. Daily we operate on four operating rooms. Our operations last from 15 to 120 minutes. We anesthetize patients in the ASA group 1-4. Many of our patients have high comorbidity. We have a strong desire to be able to manage the complexly ill patient within the framework of day surgery.

We therefore meet these patients with high professionalism and see the complexity as an exciting and meaningful challenge. Therefore we work to maintain competencies for this task, partly through ongoing teaching and partly by maintaining a certain volume of complex patients.

In Day Surgery 2 and 4 we have ambitions to be among Denmark's best day-surgical departments, and therefore we continuously work on professional development.

We are a department with 9 anesthesiology nurses, 2 permanent recovery nurses, and 23 operating room nurses, all organized under the same management line.
